I quickly ran back to the cinema room to get my phone, and the second I found it I got an incoming call from my mother.

Oh shit.

Panicking, I looked at Brooklyn with wide eyes as my phone kept on playing the ringtone.

"Aren't you going to m, you know, get that?" He innocently asked, not knowing what I had coming.

You see, this one time I didn't answer my phone, I was actually getting beatened up by this gang schoolboys because I told them to stop staring at me. My parents didn't allow me to leave the house for a month. One of the multiple reasons I was pissed as hell that night because my Mom made me walk in the dark, at midnight, in the same neighborhood I got beatened up in. YAY.

So, let's just say that she will most definitely yell at me.

"Long story, will tell you about that later. Now, let me prepare you for what's about to come. Loads of yelling, maybe some cursing too."

I was surprised the phone was still ringing by the time I stopped talking and answered.

"Scarlett! Where the hell have you been? You aren't at home and we have been trying to reach you for ages!" I bit my lip in fear and sat down on the chair, running a hand through my hair.

"I'm sorry Mum, my phone has been on silent and I just woke up. I'm at a friends house."

"Dear God, Scarlett you could have informed us about that!"

"You were at the hospital! You texted me saying it was fine if I stayed at a friends house!" I heard my Mum sigh on the other side of the line and did the same, throwing in an eye roll even though she couldn't see.

"We need you home at 7pm though. We have to go visit Grandma." Her words hit me, the real world hitting me harder than it should have. I had been in this happy little bubble of friends with Brooklyn for almost two days and never once thought about her.
Oh my lord, I am the worst Granddaughter ever.

"O-Okay, I will be home." I hung up the phone right after saying those words and rubbed my eyes in agony.

"Letty? You okay?" Brooklyn's beautiful accent making a smile appear on my face.

"Yeah! Sure, I have to be home at 7."

"That's okay. Now come over here, I suck at flipping pancakes." His adorable pout made me smile in fondness, my body making its way towards his.

"Let the master show you how it's really done." I spoke, flexing my non-existent biceps at him. A laugh escaped his lips at my actions and all I could really think about was hOW FÜCKÏNG PRETTY THIS HUMAN IN FRONT OF ME IS.

But hey, playing it cool.

I casually flipped the pancake, it landing right back in its previous spot.

"You go Letty! I'll be your cheerleader!" I frowned at him and put my hands on my hips in sass.

"You ain't no damn cheerleader! You ain't got no pom-poms." He started laughing at my impression and slyly looked at me.

"Oh, girl. Prepare yourself!" He said and ran off, leaving me confused in the kitchen. I continued flipping pancakes as I waited for him to return only shortly after that, with ofcourse, two pink pom-poms in his hands.

"Give me an L, give me an E, give me a T, give me a T, give me a Y. LETTY!" I bursted out laughing as he demonstrated his little dance.

"I love this!" My entire body was filled with happiness as I stepped towards him, going in for a hug. He immediately wrapped his arms around me, suddenly picking me up and spinning me around.

"Lettyyyyyy!" He yelled out and I just couldn't stop smiling. After a few seconds he put me back down, ready to let go of me.

"Noooo," I whined, cuddling into his chest. "I like your cuddles. Don't let me go." Suddenly, a pair of soft lips kissed my forehead, a wave of heat running through my body at the action. "You're a cutie." Brook spoke up and all I wanted to do was kiss him. Even though I met him two days ago.

I finally let go of him - not willingly but my head was telling me I was making it awkward, so I did - and smiled at him, ruffling his hair.

"Don't do that! It already looks horrible." I frowned at his words, shaking my head in disagreement. "No, it looks cute. Shut up." He chuckled, shaking his head in response.

I returned my attention to the pancakes and made the rest of them, my stomach growling in hunger.

Brooklyn had the idea to go sit in the cinema room and watch Friends for the rest of the day as we ate our pancakes, which I obviously agreed to.
