Two Of A Kind

Chapter 2

When we got to the hospital I ran in and asked the receptionist what room Alicia was in. She said room 225. I ran to the elevator with Chandler behind me, and I pressed the second level button and the doors closed and we rode up. When we got up there, I asked where room 225 was and the receptionist said down the hall and to the left. I walked down the hall and looked left. The first thing I see is Greyson waiting outside the door pacing back and forth. I run up to him.

"What happened???" I ask.

"Sky ran in the street to get her ball and Alicia tried to stop her but she couldn't get to her before she ran into the street and a car almost hit Sky but Alicia pushed her out of the way. The car ran over her leg and she hit her head really hard! The doctors... They kicked me out... I'm worried it's serious...." His voice trails off, and before i know it he's crying.

"It's all my fault." He added "if Sky had been on her leash none of this would have happened..."

"No, it's not your fault. You didn't know this would happen. Don't blame yourself." I say.

"Yeah man, it's not your fault." Chandler says.

"I guess...." He replies

Someone walks out of the room. It looks like the doctor.

"Is she okay?????" Greyson practically screams.

"Yes, she'll be fine. She only has a broken leg and a minor concussion.She will be in a cast for 6-8 weeks depending on how quickly she heals. We can't do much about the concussion but we have prescribed her with some pain medication. Just keep her away from reading. And we'll see her back in three weeks. She'll just have to schedule an appointment. "

"Thank you." I say.

Greyson runs in and the first thing he says is: "I'm so sorry baby!"

"It's ok." Alicia says with a small smile on her face.

I walk in after Greyson with Chandler right behind me. Alicia gets up out of her chair and stands using her crutches. I walk up to her and give her a hug.

"Are you crazy?!?!? You could have died!!!"

"Didn't we establish this earlier? Yes I am crazy." Alicia giggles.

Greyson walks up to Alicia and squeezes her super hard

"Babe, I can't breathe." She says

"Sorry, I'm just so glad you're okay."

"Yeah me too." Chandler says as he gives Alicia a hug.

We all walk out to the receptionist's desk so I could check Alicia out of the hospital, and to schedule a follow up appointment in three weeks then Chandler and I went home to his house to hang out. Greyson and Alicia went to the park to pick up Alicia's car. When Chandler got to my house he parked the car when I got up to the front door, I saw a box outside our door. It was from our parents. I called Alicia.
"Hey Licia, um... We got a package from mum and dad."

"What?!? I'll be home shortly..."

"Ok... Love you Licia."

"Love you too Kayla..."
