"Where did you go?" his voice booms right as he enters the room.

"Nowhere," my voice replies small as a mouse.

"You disappeared." His face is red.

"No I didn't. I went into the kitchen to make lunch."

"Don't lie to me young lady." He's closer now. His face is red as a tomato, filled with anger and rage. Without thinking, I step back from him and I immediately know I messed up.

"You've been gone for three days now."

"No I haven't." I retract my step and go closer to him. He just scoffs and walks away, brushing shoulders with me. My stomach plummets to the ground as his shoulder touches mine but I try to stand my ground, even though he's now gone. Trying but without success, I continue my day like that incounterment didn't happen.

What did he mean I was gone for three days? Is all I can ask myself; all I did was go into the kitchen to make us some soup, then all of a sudden I'm being yelled at. Okay, he must be on something. I agree to that statement before going into his office, where he sits with papers in his hands.

"Hi." My voice says. He just glances at me with black colored eyes then looks back down at the paper. Great, I say I myself, just what I need.

"We're going to a dinner tonight," he says. "Get dressed and be ready by four."

"That's in ten minutes." He doesn't reply. Huffing, I storm out of the room, mad that I only have ten minutes to do my hair and get ready; something that normally takes me an hour to do. Our kitten chases after me, attempting to gnaw on my ankle like he loves to do.

Within ten minutes, my dirty blonde hair is pinned back and the curls gently brush against my shoulder's while a black lace dress falls to my knees, hugging my body tightly. The sound of a growl enters my ears and my eyes try to follow the sound, only to see the golden colored puppy I bought just weeks ago, growling at the man standing at the door.

"You may come in," I tell the figure while painting on my eyeliner. The figure enters the room, only to have a dog bark at it and a kitten attack its feet.

"I swear on my grandmother's grave we're getting rid of these animals."

"Over my dead body," I whisper softly, rubbing the clear lip gloss on my thin lips. "You were the one who choose the kitten." The figure doesn't reply but instead it just rolls its eyes. A soft hand is placed on the small of my back, telling me it's time to go but without saying a word.

"It's so nice to see you." A woman greets me with a small kiss on each cheek. I return the kisses but actually wanting to snap her neck.

"Be nice," he whispers in my ear, knowing the thoughts that are racing through my head. Slowly, the man leads me to the table with the rest of all his colleagues. The dinner passes by slowly, no one saying a word to me, all their attention going right to the fellow I'm sitting next to. They talk about the kingdom, and the people who serve him. One person though, in particular, couldn't keep their eye off of me. He was dressed in a black tuxedo with a black tie. His black hair was messy and he had large, dark bags under his emerald green eyes.

When we arrived home, we were welcomed by a kitten attempting to bite off our feet and a dog barking at us like we were intruders. He just glared at me, telling me to get rid of the dog an I just gave his an angelic smile in return, telling him there's no way I'm getting rid of him.

"Then I'm going to get rid of them," he growls, plucking the kitten off of his ankle and tosses it lightly on our bed. I just laugh, wiping away the stuff painted on my eyes.
