The next day was spent in the garden with my head in the clouds. Last night Alec had told me that his family was visiting in a week and I needed to behave and drop my attitude. I just laughed in his face and I told him that I'll just leave because this is my personality. He just rolled his eyes and said a quite prayer while walking out of the room, praying to God's above us to make sure next week was good.

My mind continued to stay in the clouds as I wondered around the beautiful garden I demanded to have put in when I first moved in. Of course, Alec had everything I wanted planted the next day and now, months later, I have a beautiful place to escape my worries.

The thing about his family is, they never liked me. He came from a rich, high end family who was married into the thrown; but even when they were poor as dirt, they had their heads up like they were better then everyone around them. Now, that their son is the King, they think they're the best there is. My side of the family though, wasn't rich but we weren't poor. We were middle class, as people call us, and when I told my family I was getting married to the King, they were baffled but never once asked for money even when Alec would ask if they needed help.

"Lacey?" A loud voice called but I stayed silent, knowing that he would come into the enchanting garden any second.

"We have to go to a lunch."

"I'm not going."

"Yes you are."

"No, I'm not. You don't control me."

"Yes I do," he laughs, lightly grabbing my wrist to pull me could of my wonderland. "We have to leave in twenty minutes."

"Good for you." I snatch my wrist back and hold it like a wounded puppy. "I'm stay here. I'm not going out with those posh people anymore."

"You've met them once," he scoffs. "Now let's go."

"I'll pass," I sass him, rolling my eyes while sitting back down on the wooden bench that sits in front of the bushes of red roses. Silence lingered in the air, which allowed me to assume that he had left but I was wrong. Seconds later, I was being lifted up and thrown over his shoulder, allowing him to bring me back to the castle.

"You jerk!" I scream as I thrown down on our silk covered bed. "I told you I'm not going."

"Yes you are," he replies in a stern voice, one that would make a dog whimper with fear. "Now get ready because we're leaving in ten minutes." I just scoff and watch him walk out of the room, leaving his anger for me.

"And curl your hair too." He smiles. "I like it like that."

"The pleasure is mine, dear," the posh women says with smug smile on her face. Her cotton candy blue hair is pulled back into a small bun, one the complements her white, elegant dress. A false smile stays tapped on my mouth as I follow Alec and the horrible people to the table outside.

Orange and yellow leafs cover the deck as we all sit down at the table, being instantly greeted by a gust of wind. My blonde, straightened hair flies everywhere, allowing the wind to laugh at me as I try to tame it.

"It's so lovely to see you again," an older man says, sitting in front of me. I just smile again, mentally telling myself that the edge of the deck is twenty feet away and all I have to do is just and I won't survive. A firm yet gentle hand touches my thigh, silently telling me that it's alright and it'll only be a couple more hours. Alec knew that he was going to have it when we get back to our house. He knew that he was going to be yelled at and his lamp was most likely going to be broken but yet, he still dragged me along.
