"Blake," her mother began, eyes glued to her home decor magazine. "When do you have work today? God I hate saying that."

Blake ignored her mother's remark. "Uh, it's three to seven. Why?"

"There's a charity event at the country club. It starts at six, so you'll only be an hour late. I'll have your clothes all picked out for you, just get dressed and arrive as soon as you can," her mother more told than asked her.

Blake nodded. "Okay."

"Finally. I felt like I'd die here," Blake groaned, putting paperwork in folders. She looked over at Alex, who was counting the money in the register.

He grinned as he counted. A few moments later he responded. "I know. I can't wait to quit."

Blake furrowed her brows. "You're quitting?"

"I wish. I mean for that one day in the distant future when I'm not a college student," he explained, locking the register.

Blake nodded. She felt bad, because clearly she didn't need the money. And she only really took the job to piss her mom off (which was working). "I see."

Alex turned to her, pushing his hair back. "What are you doing after this?" He always asked her this, Blake was beginning to think he liked her.

"I have this charity event to go to--don't even ask. My mom didn't really give me a choice." Blake sighed.

"No questions asked."

"Anyways, let's go home." She said.

Blake drove home as slow as she could, but even at that rate it was only 7:15. She got home and quickly got dressed, for once approving her mother's choice for her outfit today. She quickly did some light makeup and hair and left, of course giving Libby a peck on the cheek on her way our.

As Blake was driving she found herself thinking of hazel eyes that reminded her of galaxies and an accent she could hear forever. She was beginning to miss him. Once she arrived she already wanted to leave. She was way to tired and hungry to put up with her friends, her mother's friends, then her father's friends.

"Blakelyn!" Her mother exclaimed, smile evident on her face. She had the usual glow that covered her face when she was around her friends, drink in hand. Blake walked over to her mother and greeted all her friends.

"Katherine!" Anne Styles spoke up, staring at Blake in awe. "You failed to mention how gorgeous Blakelyn has gotten. How are you sweetie?"

Her mother laughed and put an arm around her and Blake smiled, "Thank you, Mrs. Styles, you also look stunning. Is Harry here?"

Both Katherine and Anne were beaming when Blake asked about Harry, probably mentally planning a wedding. "Yes, he's in the lounge area with Liam and the rest."

Blake nodded and made her way towards the lounge, seeing her best friends laughing and eating. Harry saw her first, smiling and waving her over.

"Hey," he grinned, pulling her in for a hug. Harry smelled good, manly, familiar. He was wearing a pinstriped button-up, with black dress pants and his signature Chelsea boots. He looked good, hair quiffed up. "Work held you up?"

Blake nodded. "Yeah, I'm really hungry--where'd you get that?" She said, gesturing towards the appetizers on his plate.

"I'll go get you some," he smiled, standing up.
