Blake's phone kept repeatedly buzzing, causing her to reluctantly get off Zayn. He tried to pull her back down, but she untangled herself from his hands, walking towards the front door. She stepped out into the apartment's hallway, wondering how none of the other tenets cared about the music.

Blake sighed as she contemplated whether or not she should answer. "Hello?"

"Blakelyn Sophia Walsh," her mother snapped. Blake could imagine Katherine's livid expression. "Where the hell are you?!"

"I'm with a friend," she mumbled. The music was loud, but muted on Katherine's end, who was about ready to pass out.

"Are you at a party? A club? I need a location? Blake," he mother sneered, surprisingly using her nickname. She was speaking quietly. "Yes, thank you," her mother fakely said to someone on the other end.

"Mom, I'll be home before midnight-"

"You better hope you will be. Do you know how idiotic your father and I looked when he was giving his speech? He introduced his family and only I was there. You have a lot of explaining to do. And you're grounded," Katherine snapped.

Blake rolled her eyes. "You can't ground me, I'm nineteen."

"Then act like it," he mother retorted. "And get yourself home before us."

Blake swallowed as she hung up. She sighed and leaned against the wall, the beat of the music thumping against the wall, trying to leak into the hall. She shut her eyes and tightened her grip on her phone, taking a deep breath.

Once Blake calmed down she went back in, eyes on Zayn. He was laughing, looking effortlessly beautiful. He was still smoking, and Blake was surprisingly didn't care. She walked over to him.

"Princess-"

"Shut up, Louis," Blake cut him off, rolling her eyes as she turned to Zayn, who was laughing at Louis. Zayn grabbed her waist and pulled her between his legs. Her heart was pounding against her chest. Zayn pulled her back onto his lap, her spine aligned with his torso.

Zayn began singing some songs and even Blake couldn't help but laugh. Though she noticed how lovely he sounded. "Baby look what you've done to me!" He sang, looking at Blake. "Baby look what you've done now!"

Blake couldn't help her grin. Louis passed Zayn a new blunt, Zayn breathing it in. He blew out the smoke in a perfect puff towards Louis. "I know you like dat shit!" Zayn's high self said, making Blake feel both scared at his behavior yet turned on because wow, everything he did was sexy.

Zayn coughed against Blake's back, snapping her out of the trance he had her under. "Um, Zayn?"

"Yeah," he said, hands sliding on her stomach, smoky breath against her neck. Though there was the barrier of her dress, she still felt a tickle under his hands.

"Listen, my mum wants me home... So I'm going to go. Do you need a ride home?" She said, holding his hands still. Although Zayn was high, he was still aware of what was happening, and the feeling of her cool, delicate fingers against his own sent his heartbeat into overdrive.

"Uh, I think I'll stay, babe. But I'll call you," he decided, eyes on Louis who seemed to be bothering someone across them.

"Okay, but you don't have my number-"

"I'll get it," he assured.

"Okay," she said. Blake didn't get up quite yet. "Uh, be safe tonight, yeah?" Blake awkwardly muttered, blushing.

Zayn smiled a lazy, beautiful smile. "You too, babe."

And with that Blake decided to get up, Zayn's eyes on her the entire time as she walked further and further away, eventually disappearing behind the door. He sighed in content.
