Regrets

Jisung pov

It's late.

Jisung's awake. Not for any real reason—just one of those nights where the silence feels too loud, the blankets too heavy.

He pads out of his room barefoot, hoodie pulled over messy hair, planning to grab a glass of water. As he passes Hyunjin's room, he hears voices. Low. Tense.

He pauses.

He shouldn't listen. He knows that. But something in Minho's voice—tired, breaking—roots him to the spot.

"...I love him."

Jisung's breath catches.

Minho?

"Then why does it still feel like I did something unforgivable?"

His heart stutters.

He steps closer to the door—silent, careful, the wood cool against his temple. The voice that answers is Hyunjin's. Quiet. Measured.

"I love Felix too."

Jisung feels like the ground is tilting under him.

Felix?

His mind spirals, piecing fragments together.

Minho. Unforgivable.
Who does he love?
Hyunjin. Felix?

He backs away from the door slowly, heart hammering. His stomach churns.

He doesn't know the full story. But he knows one thing for sure now:

Something happened.

And Minho hasn't told him.

...

The next morning, Jisung doesn't sleep.

His mind loops all night—fragments of voices, names, guilt-laced sentences. By the time the sun rises, he's made up his mind.

He needs answers.

And he's starting with Felix.

...

Felix is in the kitchen, hair still tousled from sleep, pouring cereal into a bowl. He smiles when he sees Jisung—bright, easy.

Too easy.

"Hey, Ji."

Jisung doesn't smile back. He walks straight to the counter, arms crossed, tension coiled tight.

Felix pauses. "You good?"

Jisung's voice is low. Measured.

"Did something happen between Minho and Hyunjin or you even?

The question slices through the air.

Felix blinks. Confused. Then—nervous.

"What... what do you mean?"

Jisung steps closer.

"I heard them talking. Last night." His voice cracks just a little. "Minho said he did something unforgivable. Hyunjin said he loves you."

Felix's face changes. Subtle, but Jisung sees it. A flicker of something—shock, guilt, fear.

Jisung's heart lurches.

"So something did happen."

Felix sets the cereal box down slowly. He opens his mouth, then closes it. His hands shake.

"I... I don't know the whole story," Felix admits. "But yeah. I think something happened."

Jisung steps back like he's been slapped. His throat burns.
