Regrets

Minho pov

Summer had arrived, and their comeback was a resounding success. They had been dating for a solid seven months now, and their relationship was going exceptionally well. They had finally started to take a much-needed rest, but something unfortunate happened, was there hope?

....

Too quiet. Too still. The kind of silence that wraps around your throat and dares you to speak first.

Minho stares at the bathroom mirror, knuckles white against the sink. His lips still taste like guilt. Like vodka. Like Hyunjin.

One second. One mistake.

He hadn't meant for it to happen. They'd all been drinking after the show—celebrating a flawless performance, letting the pressure go for just one night. Jisung had gone to bed early, exhausted. And Hyunjin... Hyunjin had laughed at something stupid Minho said, leaned too close, and for a moment, everything blurred.

It was over in a second.
But that second burned.

Now Hyunjin won't look at him.
And Minho can't breathe around Jisung.

He steps out of the bathroom, eyes locking with Jisung across the bedroom. Jisung's still in his pajamas, curled up with a blanket and dark circles under his eyes—but he smiles.

Soft. Trusting.

"Morning, hyung."

And Minho's heart shatters.

Minho can't sleep.

Every time he closes his eyes, it's Hyunjin's mouth he remembers. The heat of the moment. The wrongness of it. The way his body leaned into it for a second too long before he pulled away—too late.

He keeps replaying it like a punishment.
And Jisung? Jisung is still acting like nothing's wrong.

He wraps his arms around Minho when they're in bed, presses sleepy kisses to his jaw, mumbles "I missed you last night" like it's nothing.

And Minho just lays there, arms around Jisung, staring at the ceiling like a ghost.
Because this—this—he doesn't deserve.

The guilt eats him slowly.

Every time Jisung laughs, it cuts deeper.
Every time he says "I love you," it feels like a stab.

Minho avoids Hyunjin.
But it's not enough.

Because the guilt doesn't go away.

Because Hyunjin's eyes still flicker when they pass each other in the hallway.

Because Minho wants to tell the truth—but he knows the moment he does, he'll lose the only thing that keeps him breathing.

...

Minho's been quiet lately.

Not enough for the others to notice—he's still sharp in practice, still teasing Jeongin, still laughing when Chan makes a dumb joke. But Jisung notices.

Of course he does.

Jisung always notices.

"You're weird lately," he says one night, sprawled on Minho's bed, legs tangled in the sheets. "Not like... bad weird. Just quiet."

Minho shrugs. Plays it off.

"Just tired," he lies.

Jisung hums, unconvinced, but he doesn't push. He never does. He just scoots closer, rests his head against Minho's chest, and breathes.
