Regrets (last chapter)

Both pov

The door's barely shut and the room feels like it's caving in.

Jisung doesn't move.

He's still on the edge of the bed, knees pulled to his chest, sleeves soaked through at the wrists where he's wiped his face again and again.

Minho's voice is still in the room somehow.
"I'll give you space."
"Even if it kills me."
"I love you."

Jisung buries his face in his arms, not crying anymore. Just... hollow.

The thing is he still loves him.

That's what makes it worse.

It would be easier if he didn't. If he could just get angry, slam a door, walk away. But instead he's stuck in the in-between:
Love and hurt.
Longing and betrayal.

And memories.

They come uninvited.

Minho pulling him close during cold nights.
Minho laughing with him in the practice room until their stomachs hurt.
Minho falling asleep on his shoulder in the van after a show.
Minho whispering "always you" into the side of his neck like a promise.

Jisung wipes his eyes again.

That kiss... wasn't the betrayal.
The betrayal was that Minho thought Jisung couldn't handle the truth.

That he wasn't worth the honesty.

And yet—

Here he is.
Still sitting here.
Still waiting for the ache to pass.

But it doesn't.

It just... settles deeper into his chest, like it plans to stay a while.

...

Minho's hands are shaking.

He doesn't even realize he's walked straight into Chan's room until the door shuts behind him and Chan looks up from his laptop, brows drawing together.

"Hyung," Minho says, voice paper-thin.

Chan's on his feet instantly. "What happened?"

Minho can't say it right away.

He's just standing there, breathing hard, trying not to cry again. He already did that in front of Jisung. Already begged.

Now he's empty. And terrified.

"I messed up," Minho says finally. "I messed up so bad."

Chan steps closer, careful not to crowd him. "Tell me."

Minho's eyes are red. "I kissed Hyunjin."

Chan goes very, very still.

"It was stupid. Drunk. It meant nothing. But I didn't tell Jisung. And he found out."

He laughs then—but it's bitter. "He wasn't even mad about the kiss. He was mad I lied. And he's right. He's so right, hyung. I looked him in the eye every day and lied."

Chan sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. He doesn't yell. Doesn't flinch.

Just listens.

Minho keeps going.

"I begged him to forgive me. He said he doesn't know if he can trust me anymore."

His voice cracks.

"And now I don't know what to do."

There's a beat of silence.

Then Chan speaks, low and steady.

"You can't rush this, Minho."
