I think I know a good backstory. It would be something in a scene. Imagine right after feeling so heartbroken that Tink has changed and become Peter's right-hand fairy with a new team of lost boys, Lizzy was crying down Crocodile Creek, which was not far from where Pixie Hollow was nestled. Vidia, in her human form, like Rosetta, Fawn, Iridessa, Silvermist, Terence, Clank, and Bobble were too, came over to comfort her; she knew how much Lizzy was hurting. This girl reminded her of herself when she first arrived in Pixie Hollow, think this starting part similar to the lake scene in Monsters University, as Vidia admits she was afraid to let the other fast flying fairies down, so she cheated mostly to teach Tink a lesson.
Vidia explains to Lizzy that she knew exactly how she feels, and tells her not to take the same miserable and lonely path she took when she lost two of her first closest friends when she first arrived.
When she arrived, eight years before Tinker Bell's arrival, her talent was a fast-flying talent that glowed brightly, but some of the fairies weren't sure if it was a good thing since everyone knew the fast-flying fairies were real stiffs who could act like sourpusses. But Fairy Dusk and the other fast-flying fairies respect her. Vidia was still just as shy and full of wonder, even befriending two fairies, a fairy named Annabelle, and a Sparowman named Oxford, whom she slowly had feelings for.
Her fast flying speed was very unique and impressive, but some gusts of wind could almost make some seasonal preparations go unorganized, much to the random fairies' annoyance. When Oxford explained he was in love with another fairy, it broke Vidia's heart, but she excepted it and calmly tells him to move on without her, and Oxford did but not before feeling sorry for what he did to his friend.
Vidia's broken heart became more broken when she lost Annabelle. If you remember the story at Fairy Tale Theatre by Lyria, about the Enchanted Mirror of Encanta, what if that fairy the pirates captured was really Annabelle, Vidia's first friend? Annabelle and Vidia tried to avoid the pirates, even tried using the fast flying speed to blast them from Pixie Hollow, but Annabelle risked her life to save Vidia as Fairy Mary took hold of Vidia in her hiding place. Annabelle let the pirates capture her, much to Vidia's devastation, and broke down crying.
Soon after, even the other fast-flying fairies, hearing the loss of Annabelle and Oxford dumping Vidia, had hardened their hearts along with Vidia, towards humans and even Tinkers. Vidia walked down Tinkers Nook miserably before tripping over a wheel and bumping into a pole that knocked off some acorn caps. Some fairies giggled a bit, just like the hawk mishap that would've happened the eight years later, but Vidia got irritated and embarrassed that she backslapped one of the giggling fairies, much to the shock. And Vidia felt more ashamed and embarrassed the next and flew off to a sour plum tree where she would build her house.
The Backstory fades with Vidia sadly looking down the creek, sitting with Lizzy, who showed sympathy and emotion with Vidia stating, that even though she now grown into friends with Tink, some of the random fairies were still watching her and murmuring like they still can't trust her mostly with the thistle incident if it was meant to take forever and satisfying, like they were waiting for her to hurt Tink, which she will never want to do or planned on doing.
With Tink arrived and proving herself, everyone saw a more wonderful talent in her and respected and adored her more than Vidia when she arrived, which made her feel more lonely and miserable, even with a few mishaps that could've gotten her humiliated for some who would find it funny.
It might be another reason why Vidia and most of the other fast-flying fairies might've been blaming Tink.
That would've explained to the viewers why she was an ex-antagonist from the first film. Even Tink would've said: "Vidia, we didn't know. I guess that explains a lot, then."
Lizzy would've sympathized with her, and she would've been just like her if Tinker Bell wouldn't have caused the misunderstanding to happen either way, though Tink would've told Vidia she was never really in danger and stated it was all just a misunderstanding, even Lizzy's father catching either of them was also a mishap as he didn't know what would've happened if he presented her as a rare specie of an insect, and just wasn't thinking clearly.
This would've been such a heart-warming scene. Let alone a bit of a serious moment. Even if this film of "Pixie Hollow" would've existed either in 2005 as a theatrical film, or as the actual sixth film after the pirate fairy, instead of "Legend of the NeverBeast." But I'm just pointing out.
Even something for Sailorplanet97.
