Chapter 3: Ditched

Hey guys! It is currently 1:02 am where I am haha! Btw, if any of my chapters suck in any of my stories, its because I write most at like 4:00 in the morning. Just so y'all know. K, here we go!

Eliza's p.o.v.: It was Saturday and I was so excited! I was meeting Riley at the park today so we could get to know each other. I like him a lot and I want this to go well. Its 4:00 and I'm about to head out the door to go the park when my cell phone rings. Its Dani. "Hello?" I answer. "El-l-liza?" I hear her through the phone, she's crying. "Dani, what's wrong?" I ask, concerned. "Its George. He broke up with me." She said through tears. That little -, never mind. "Don't worry Sweety I'll be right over." I say to her and she says okay before I hang up.

Riley's p.o.v.: "Alright. How do I look?" I ask Seth. "Perfect. Oh wait!" He says, walking up to me and fixing my bowtie. "Now its perfect." He says and we laugh. I'm in a button up shirt and khakis and dress shoes and I know its just the park but I really want to impress Eliza. She is in fact my destiny. I also got her some Purple tulips, cause why not? "Hey did you get yours yet?" I ask Seth, wanting to get the subject off of me. "Yep!" He says, pulling his shirt down a little to show me. The name 'Dani' was written in a curvy, very pretty font, like mine, and had music notes around it! "Hey! She's in the music department with Eliza!" I say, smiling. "Awesome!" He says, chuckling. "Alright well I gotta get going if I'm gonna make it on time." I said, taking one last look in the mirror. "Alright bro. Have fun!" Seth said giving me a bro hug.

Eliza's p.o.v.: "So he just up and dumped you with no explanation?" I asked, sitting on Dani's couch. "Yep. He's not sixteen for a couple more days so its obviously not the tattoo. I wouldve understood then." She said, glumly. "Hey! Youuuuu turned sixteen yesterday!!! You got yours this morning!" I said, trying to cheer her up. She smiled and we ran to her mirror. She pulled her shirt down and revealing the beautiful tattoo. In a bold print, the name 'Seth' was written with a beaker exploding beside it. Thats so cute! "You're so lucky you already got yours! I have to wait months for mine!" I say, sitting down. "It'll be okay! You wanna watch Monsters Inc.?" She asked, pulling the movie from her movie basket she had in her room. "Sure!" I say. Her rooms pretty awesome. Its like a robins egg blue, almost white and shes got paper lanterns hanging all around. She has two bungie chairs, two bean bags, and a chair that hangs from the ceiling. Needless to say, we always go to her house when our group gets together to hang! She's got the biggest room. Her closet is walk in and it's literally filled with pastels and florals! We borrow each others shoes cause she's got some sweet vans and sandals and I've got some pretty slick heels and combat boots! We also borrow dresses cause all of hers are a mixture of both pastels and floral and they are gorgeous and mine are more formal. Were pretty childish all the time so that's why were watching Monsters Inc. If you were wondering why a 16 year old and 15 year old were watching that movie! We've got matching Stitch hats too, so don't question us. I walked downstairs to pop some popcorn and get some Dr. Pepper, while she put the movie in and got each of us a stuffed animal to cuddle. I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something but I can't put my finger on what. I walk back in the room, butter popcorn and Dr. Pepper in tow and handed her hers before plopping down on the bed next to my stuffed animal. "Let's do this!" She yelled before plopping down beside me. The opening song played and we danced along to it. "Do do do da do do. Do do do da do do." We sang along. I love this movie!

* an hour and a half later (or however long Monsters Inc. Is) *

"Okay, what do you wanna watch next? And do you wanna sleep over so we can binge watch movies all night?" She asked, laughing and getting up. "Hmmmmm, I don't know. What else do you have? And sure let me text my mom!" I said, stretching to get my phone. I texted her and then opened up my messages with our friend Natalie. "Hey do you want Natalie to come?" I ask. "Sure!" I smiled and texted the purple haired girl.

Me- Hey chic! Wanna come over to Dani's and binge watch movies all night? :)

Natalie- Yesss!! I'll be over in ten!

"Shes on her way! And my mom said it was fine I was staying by the way." I say. My mom always let Dani and spend the night together with little notice. She's just cool like that! A few minutes later I hear the door bell. "COMING!" I yell as I'm bounding down the steps. I open the door and see my purple haired bestie and a giant stuffed animal that happens to be a llama. "Heyyyyy!" I said, stepping back and letting her in. "Heyyyy!" She said. Once she was inside, I shut and locked the door before following her up the stairs. When we got up there, Natalie took one of the bungie chairs and set it next to my side of the bed since Dani's side was near the door. "Alright so I've got, The Fault In our Stars, The Notebook, If I Stay, and The One Direction Movie. Which one?" She asks, holding each movie up. "Why not all if were binging?" Natalie says. "Well duh! I meant which one first idiot. " Dani said, throwing a stuffed bunny at our friend. "Let's do the 1D movie first since its the happiest." I said. They both nodded and Dani put the movie in. I got that strange feeling I was forgetting something again. I wish i knew what it was! Oh well, I'll figure it out later.

Riley's p.o.v.: I looked at the time on my watch. 6:00. I've been sitting here for an hour and a half waiting for her to come. I thought she liked me. I thought we would have fun tonight and learn stuff about each other. But she just ditched me! She's obviously not coming so I stood up, walked to the trash can, threw the bouquet of tulips in the trash, and walked back home.

Eliza's p.o.v.: Everyone else was asleep by the time 50 First Dates, our last movie, that we ended up finding underneath her bed by the way, ended. I picked up my phone from the bedside table and checked the time. It was currently 4:30 am. Something about that time seemed familiar. I kept staring at the time when it hit me. Riley! I got up, threw my shoes on, and rushed outside. I knew he probably wouldn't still be there, 12 hours later, but it was worth a shot. I can't believe I forgot all about the park! I was helping Dani and I had intended to calm her down, see her tattoo, then leave and meet up with Riley, but I completely forgot! It wasn't too far of a run considering the park is right down the road from Dani's house. When I got there, I walked all around. It wasn't till I passed a trash can with purple tulips in it with a card that said "To Eliza From Riley" that I knew I had blown my chances.
