The second event of the team-building exercises was the obstacle course. Yugo was very excited to share this event with Yuya. Yuya was the fastest, most agile person at Dragon Inc. and everybody knew it. They'd all seen him running around the office, jumping over filing cabinets and stuff, and after seeing him on the rock-climbing wall, everyone wanted to be on his team. Unfortunately for them, Yugo had called dibs.

"He's my teammate!" the blunana said happily, hugging his tomato boyfriend. Yuya giggled and hugged him back tightly. "Let's win this!"

Zarc chuckled, watching Yugo and Yuya run to the starting line. The obstacle course was a decent size, taking up most of the area that the company had booked for their team-building exercises. It had balance beams, tire hurdles, rope climbs, and water challenges, all of which Yuya was skilled in. Yugo wasn't as skilled at Yuya at balance beams, but he was pretty decent at the other obstacles.

"Alright, places, everyone!" Zarc called out. The people participating in the obstacle course lined up at the starting line. Yuto had teamed up with Shun, and Yuri had once again teamed up with Dennis. If there was anyone who could beat Yuya at the obstacle course, it would have to be Dennis.

Zarc raised the air horn and honked it, and the teams started off. First up was the balance beam, which Yuya got across with ease. But Yugo stumbled and fell off, which meant he had to start again from the beginning. "Nooo! I fell!" he wailed.

Yuri laughed as he and Dennis passed Yugo. "Well, looks like you won't be winning this event, Yugo!~"

Yugo pouted and tried again, but moved too quickly and fell again. The third time he made it all the way across, but Yuri and Dennis had already made it through the tire hurdles. "Hurry! Hurry Yuya! We can't let Yuri beat us! C'mon!"

Yuya and Yugo ran toward the tire hurdles, reaching them just as Yuri and Dennis reached the rope climb. "C'mon, Yuri! We can do it!" Dennis exclaimed, grabbing the rope. He shimmied up it with ease, though Yuri had some trouble. He was the weakest of his boyfriends, at least in arm strength, so he struggled a little with the rope climb. But he made it through the obstacle just as Yuya reached the rope and began scaling it.

"C'mon, Yugo! We still have a chance to catch up!" Yuya exclaimed. Yugo was close behind him, eager to overtake Yuri.

The two teams were neck and neck as they reached the final obstacle. There were floats on a shallow pool that they needed to jump onto without falling into the water. Yuya and Dennis both had no trouble hopping across the obstacles, but Yuri and Yugo both fell into the pool.

"C'mon, Yuri!" Dennis cheered his friend on. "You can do this!"

"C'mon, Yugo!" Yuya cheered. "Don't give up!"

Yugo made it almost halfway across before he fell into the water again. "NOOO! Yuri! Yuri, fall in!"

"Don't you jinx me!" Yuri squealed in playful outrage. He almost fell in again, but managed to keep his footing. Before too long, he'd made it to the other side. "HAH! C'mon Dennis! To the finish line!"

"NOOOOO!" Yugo wailed, trying to move faster. He ended up falling in again just as Yuri and Dennis crossed the finish line. Then, as if fate was mocking him, Yuto and Shun passed by him, working together to cross the final obstacle. They crossed the finish line just as Yugo finally made it to the end of the water challenge, leaving Yuya and Yugo to cross the finish line in third place.

"Ah, don't worry, Yugo!" Yuya said, hugging his blunana boyfriend tightly and getting his own clothes wet. "We'll beat them next time!"

"Yeah!" Yugo agreed, hugging him back. "Next time we'll be the ones laughing at Yuri!"
