I Don't Even Know Your Name ~Shawn Mendes.Luke in "False Hope" has nothing to do with Luke Hemmings for your own knowledge.
********June, 1992
Luke's POV;
I rush through the crowd in the box office with all the arms pushing me everywhere."2 tickets 'Damage'lI tell the guy sitting inside the box but he ignores me. Or maybe my voice wasn't even audible with all those people screaming.
"2 tickets please". I say again pushing the money to him. But I'm ignored again. I take a look at my date Sarah who is sitting on the platform waiting for me.
Beside her is a guy in a black shirt and jeans sitting coldly in his Mercedes. He smiles at a blond girl who I see nothing but her back and then takes his wallet out of his pocket. The blonde seems to wear a white dress that barely touches her knees, with a brown belt around her waist. Her legs look too proportioned, too tanned to be even real.
The blonde turns around and rushes inside the crowd with us. She keeps getting closer and closer.
And......What the hell. Those beautiful legs turn around and as her face comes to the view, I'm already on my knees. How could that guy leave those beautiful innocent blue eyes in that crowd all along with all those eyes on her.
"Oh my fuck". I tell myself. That girl is so... I can't find words to describe her. She rushes to the box where the guy sits and screams.
"2 Tickets please". She says loudly.
"2 Tickets for "Damage". She repeats but ignored just like the first time. I glance at her closer but she doesn't seem to realize me."Have you got the tickets yet?" A voice behind the crowd yells.
"Luke". The voice says again. Sarah. I almost forgot about her. I move toward her leaving the breathless place to reach for her.
"No, no. Can't you see that". I point at the crowd.
"So, what're we doing now?" She asks.
"I don't......"I begin to say when a scream interrupts us."Leave me" Someone screams. ". Get off me". I look at the fully packed box to find where that voice is coming from. It's her. It's the blonde girl with two strong arms wrapped around her waist pulling her to him. Without blinking I move towards the crowd again.
"What do you think you're doing". Sarah says behind me and I ignore her.
"Move....Move...Move". I yell to the people as I get closer to the poor small girl.
"What do you think you are doing? Don't touch her". I yell at the drunk guy who was pulling her closer and closer towards the door. His dark hair shines as the moonlight touches it, and his muscly arms looks scary. I'm not really sure of what to do with him.
"I said don't touch her". I yell again as I finally reach for the blonde's tiny body and grab her forcefully from him and the poor girl seems relieved to see me.
"I'm sorry I didn't know she was with you". The guy takes a step backwards. That's the complete opposite of what I thought was going to happen. I expected a fight, a REAL fight. The size of my body is nothing compared to his. His white t-shirt tugs tightly around his stomach that I can see his abs through it. I'm glad he decided not to fight anyway.
"So now you know". I say as walk the girl to the platform. The girl's body is shaking that I'm sure that she's using all her effort to prevent her from falling to her feet so, I move my arm to her back to support her weight, but it's too late. The girl is already on the floor and her breath is running.
"Fuck, no". I say. I grab her with her waist and satisfy her weight on both of my arms resting her head on my chest and rush towards the platform.
As we reach there my shirt is soaking wet in sweat and my arms are aching so hard when the guy in black who gave her the money 5 minutes ago finally realizes me."What the hell?" He says as he reaches for her and grab ms her from my hands roughly.
"Hey, be gentle". I tell him and he ignores me.
"You should thank him at least". Sarah says harshly to him. "If he wasn't God knows what would have happened to her".
"I'm so sorry baby, I'm so sorry. I'll take you home baby". The guy says as he opens the passenger door and rests her body on the seat as he pulls out of sight.
"Ohh". I say as the car is completely invisible.
"You shouldn't have done that". Sarah tells me.
"What? Are you kidding me?" I tell her. Does she mean that I should have left the girl to that drunk asshole to do whatever he wants to her.
"Didn't you see how her rude boyfriend treated you?" Her red hair is pushed to her face and she doesn't bother to pull it back. She thinks I'll do it to her, just like those annoying fake "romantic movies".
I would have done that. I really would have if I loved her, or even liked her. But it's so hard to pretend that this is the girl that I like and that this's an actual date. If my father didn't push me to take her out I wouldn't have.
"Sarah is a good, beautiful and funny girl. Moreover she comes from a proper family ". My father said last night.
"You mean a rich family". I sighed and he ignores me, as usual.
"I saved the girl, not her jerk boyfriend". I tell Sarah who still seemed to wait for an answer. "Where do you want to go now anyway?" I change the subject.
"Take me home". She says waiting for me to beg her to stay for a dinner.
"Fine". I say ruining her plan. I jump into my truck....... My father's truck.... That he rented me tonight so, I appear "an adult gentleman" to the girl I hate.
"Thank you for ruining the night". Sarah says as the car stops in front of her house.
"You're almost welcome". I say faking the coldest smile that I've been training on it for a complete hour before the date so I can give it to her tonight.
Sarah jumps out of the old car and shuts the door closed before she runs towards the door of her enormous house.I drive to my house that is at the end of Sarah's street and park the car in our big garage. I walk silently to the door in order not to wake my father up. I'm not ready for his billions of questions about the date and how I said goodbye to her and all those bullshit he needs to know.
I leave my shoes on the door so that it's sound when moving doesn't wake him up but the living room's light is on. My father is still awake."What do you think you are doing, Luke? If you really think that her father would let that go by, then you're a real idiot". My father screams at my face.... Nothing new.
