Luke's POV;
"Hai, James". I tell the guy sarcastically.
"Hai". He says taking a sip of the drink in his hand. "Wait, I guess I've met you before?" James says. Shit, this isn't happening.
"No I don't...." I start but he cuts me off.
"You are that guy. The one from the tickets box". He says, almost yelling, and it's clear that he's drunk. Becca looks at him confused.
"Do you know each other or something?" She asks
"Yeaaas". James says the same second I say no.
"You're the guy who saved Becca". He shouts louder and the whole room stares at us. "He's the guy who saved you". Realization hits Becca and she jumps off the couch and stands only a few inches away from me.
"Can we talk please". She says and walks out of the room so, I follow her without complaining.
"Why didn't you...... Why didn't tell me?" She asks me as we leave the room.
"I didn't think you would care, moreover you didn't even remember me". I remind her.
"Of course I'd care". She says. "I'm sorry I should have remembered you". She adds.
"It's okay". I smile at her. "You were wasted anyway".
"I really am sorry. How can I pay you a reward?" She shocks me by asking.
"I really....... I don't". I try to collect my words. "I don't want a reward". I finally say."I have to give you one, you saved me. And God knows if you didn't show up what would have happened to me". She says.
"I don't want a reward really. I saved you without expecting a reward". I tell her honestly.
"Please...." She says looking at me directly in the eye.
"Okay, just let it not be now". I gave up.
"Thank you". She says and starts walking back to the room.
"Wait....." My mouth says before my mind can catch and my hand grabs her arm without my permission.
"What?" She asks looking at my hand that's still on her arm.
"I'm sorry". I tell Becca and pull my hand from her arm. "But.....can I ask you something?" I finally say."Of course yes". She smiles at me.
"That guy, the one with dark hair". I begin. "He's your boyfriend, right?" I say. Of course I know the answer. He has just told me that he's.
"Yes". She says faking a smile. "James is my boyfriend".
"He's a little bit rude". I tell her.
"Yeah, well sort of. He's rude with the people but he's another person around me". She lies. I know she is.
"Then, why did you jump off the couch when he was whispering in your ear?" I ask her.
"What?" She asks and her cheeks flush in embarrassment.
"When you were on his lap, he whispered something in your ear and then you jumped off him". I remind her.
"Oh, yeah, yeah". She remembers. "Actually he wasn't whispering in my ear". She says.
"What was he doing then?" I ask.
"He was just......"She says and her cheeks turns red again and that's when realization hits me."Shit, I'm sorry. I understand now". He was kissing her. Fuck, he was. "Why did you come the other day to the pond ?" I ask her.
