Chapter 1

Kelly lived in the countryside with her mother father and her soon to be younger brother. Kelly was really happy when her mother told her that she was going to have a younger brother in a few days. Kelly helped her father paint her brothers room, and she helped her mother pick out clothes and toys for her new brother. Everyday she would always think about what her brother would look like, and thought would they get along or would they fight a lot when her brother gets older. That night Kelly had a terrible nightmare, that her house burned down and her baby brother was in it and so were her parents, and that neither of them survived only her. She woke up crying her, father rushed in to tell her that her mother had gone into labour, and they had to go to hospital. She got dressed really quick, then ran down to meet her parents, they got into the car and Kelly's father drove her mother to the hospital. Kelly asked her mother about what was wrong, her mother said that her baby brother was about to be born and that's why they were going to the hospital, Kelly was really excited. When they arrived at the hospital, the doctor and nurses take Kelly's mother and rush off. Kelly waits with her father patiently, until a nurse comes out and asks them to come and see their new family member. Kelly goes with her father to follow the nurse to where her mother is with her new baby brother, when the enter the room Kelly is shocked. Her father goes over to her mother and his new son, Kelly asks "Who is that over there mam, why is there another baby?". Her mother and father look at each other and say "That was your other brother, only for he died when he was born" Kelly felt tears coming down her face, she then ran out and asked the woman at the desk, "where is the bathroom" the woman at the desk pointed to a door near the waiting room, and Kelly ran into the bathroom and started to cry. Later on a woman found her crying in the bathroom and brought her to reception, she noticed that her father was waiting at the reception desk and thanked the woman, then took Kelly back to her mother and baby brother. When she went back into the room, she looked both at her mother and her baby brother. After a few days Kelly's mother was aloud to bring home her baby brother, Kelly was delighted. Her father was building a little swing for her baby brother, and Kelly helped her mother out with feeding him. Kelly's parents didn't name her baby brother, so Kelly got to name her little brother, she named him joey. After a few years later, joey had finally grow up an was now 4 years old, Kelly and joey played outside everyday. One morning Kelly's parents were going off for their anniversary, they called a babysitter to watch both joey and Kelly. The babysitter was really nice,Kelly used to have her a her babysitter when her parents when on a night out to drink, but they stopped drinking for their children's sake. Kelly and joey were watching telly when their babysitter said they had to go to bed, Kelly hoped up to turn off the telly when joey got upset. The babysitter took and Kelly and joey to bed and read them a story, by this time Kelly was 9 and always loved listening to stories because her parents wouldn't have time to read her a story as they were really busy with work. Shortly after joey had fallen asleep, Kelly was falling asleep when she heard a scream coming from her neighbours house! Kelly sat up panting, she looked at her babysitter who have her something that would half her sleep, she handed Kelly ear plugs. Kelly then fell asleep, her babysitter called her parents saying that something was happening, Kelly's father was talking to her saying'Are the kids alright, did they see it too?!' The babysitter became unsure about her situation, and told Kelly's father 'Can you please come home now, I can't handle this, please' The father heard that the babysitter was crying so he told her that 'Ok ok we are on our way now, just make sure the kids don't see anything, see you in a few' the babysitter turned on the telly to take her mind off the subject at hand, when she heard the door being unlock she jumped up, turned off the telly and ft we stuff and was ready to leave after talking to the parents. When Kelly's mother walked in, she went over and hugged Abby (the babysitter), then she left after Kelly's parents paid her. They then went into check on their children, kissed them then went back out, Kelly's mother said about going over and checking on their neighbours, Kelly's father said he would stay with the children. When Kelly's mother was gone, her father went into their room and got dresses for bed and waited for his wife, in with his children. When she came back she told her husband everything, she said 'Her house getting burnt down was no accident, but she's alright' her husband replied with 'So someone must be out to get her, god some sick bastards out in this world!' Then they both went to bed. The next morning Kelly and her brother were going swimming, until their parents got a cll from their neighbour saying 'I know this is a lot to ask you, but, would you be able come down to the hospital please I need to tell the both of you something' Kelly's mother said 'We will be there in short, just gotta tell the children swimming may have to be delayed for an hour or so' Kelly heard what her mother was saying and went to tell he'd brother to started to cry, her mother came in bowing that Kelly had heard her and apologised but said theta they were still going swimming but they had to make a quick stop first. When they arrived at the hospital Kelly and her brother joey were left at reception to be minded by the young woman behind the counter, Kelly's parents were gone for a long time until they finally came out. The woman at the desk pointed to Kelly's parents and both Kelly and joey ran over, then they headed over to the swimming pool. They spent an hour and a half in the pool before they left, they got something to eat the went horn, Kelly and joey fell asleep after the food. When they arrived home their parents put them in the bedroom, then watched telly. That night their mother read them a bedtime story, joey fell asleep shortly after she started reading, Kelly listened till the story was finished then she fell asleep.
