Chapter 3

The next morning Kelly woke up feeling sore all over her body, she went into her parents to tell them. They got up and brought her to the doctors, they waited patiently in the waiting room. When the doctor came Kelly was the first he treated. Kelly was in with the doctor for nearly an hour, when she finally came out he asked Kelly to tell her parents he wanted to see them. Kelly sat in the waiting room with joey, when they came out Kelly noticed that her parents were shocked then seen they quickly changed facial expressions. On the way home Kelly really wanted to know what was wrong with her, but she decided to wait for awhile. When they got home Kelly and joey watched telly while their parents went into their bedroom to talk about what the doctor said about Kelly, Kelly went over and tried to listen through the door. Kelly couldn't understand what her parents were saying but she heard them talking on the phone to her Aunty a few miles away that was a doctor. Kelly could heard everything her aunt was saying, but just as she was about to say what she thought it was from her parents saying, Kelly heard her father coming closer and closer to the door so she ran back over to the couch to watch telly. Her father came out and gave Kelly and joey a drink and kissed them, then he went back into the room. Kelly felt herself becoming sore again, she tried everything she could think of to not cry, but then she gave in it became too sore! Laura heard her daughter screaming in pain and both her and Luke ran out to her. Joey watched as his sister cried out in pain, then his parents running out to her. Laura and Luke were becoming terrified so they decided to bring Kelly over to her aunties. Luke had to drive while Laura sat in the back holding Kelly and talking to joey, shortly after they arrived at the aunts house. Kelly's aunt met them at the front door, and she took Kelly off Laura and brought her inside to her doctors room. Laura and Luke had to wait in the sitting room with joey while Kelly's aunt Marie looked her to diagnose her. After 1 hour Marie came out, Laura and Luke met her at the door. Marie said there is nothing wrong with Kelly it's just that she has a lot of aching in her legs. Laura and Luke looked at each other, then Laura asked 'What do we have to do for her to make it stop?' Marie looked back at Kelly who was still in et doctors room, then looked at. Laura and said 'Look, the only thing I can tell you to do is that you should wash both her legs with warm soapy water, ad rub your hand over the part where the aching is'. Kelly came out to meet her parents when she smelt smoke! He looked over into her aunt Marie's kitchen where she saw a saucepan catching fire! She told her parents and Marie and they all ran out of the house, while outside Marie rang the fire department. Kelly looked over to a corner an seen someone in all black, and she went over to check it out, the person in all black started running so Kelly had to run to catch up to her. Through pain and tears Kelly kept pushing on to catch the person in black, Kelly jumped and took down the person in all black with her. Kelly pulled back the hood and seen who was the person wearing all black was, it was.... Well Kelly didn't know who the girl was in? Kelly asked the little girl 'Who are you?, Are you the one starting all the fires in people's houses?'. The little girl looked at Kelly and said 'I couldn't help it, my parents left me when my house caught fire, and I haven't seen them since'. Kelly looked at the little girl for her name, the little girl replied emma. Kelly took Emma's hand an said don't be sad my parents left me when my house caught fire, then Kelly said 'I ended up living with my aunt until the next day when they came back for me'. Kelly went over and hugged emma and said 'Where are your parents an the rats of you family?' Emma told her 'That's the thing I don't know where they are, but, they were on the news 2 days ago because they were found.......dead in a hotel!'. Kelly heat fell and she went over and hugged emma tighty, the. Se took Emma's hand and brought her back to Kelly parents. Laura and Luke went over and talk to Kelly about who the little girl is, Kelly told them everything that Emma told her. Laura went behind the house and talk to Emma for awhile, Kelly stayed with Marie, her father Luke and brother joey. Shortly after Laura Anne back with Emma an told Luke that 'Hun the little girl has no family, can we take her home?' Luke looked at Emma, smiled and said 'Of course, if she has no family, we'll make her apart if ours!' Just the. The fire fighters came and out out the fire, then Kelly, her family, her aunt Marie and her now new sister Emma went home. When they arrived back home, Kelly showed Emma around the house, then they started playing. That night Emma started to tell Emma the reason why she set fires to houses, and the reason shocked Kelly. Emma made her promise not to tell her parents, Kelly agreed. Just then Kelly's parents walked in, and told them it was bedtime. Kelly asked for a story, and Emma jumped into the bed with Kelly. Laura told Luke that he needed to get another bed for a new family member, Luke told her thy he'd do it in the morning. After the story was finished Emma, Kelly and joey were fast asleep. Luke said 'We may get a picture of Emma for our family photo album', Laura agreed ad said 'I'll bring them into town and I'll get her photo done then'. Then Laura and Luke went into their bedroom, and went to sleep.
