Kirishima stretched out in the weak sunlight. It was definitely warmer here, but winter was winter, and the air was cool.

They had been here for the past few weeks, and Kirishima was beginning to enjoy himself. Watching Bakugou interact with his so-called friends was his new favorite pass time. He was just as loud and angry with them, but it just felt different. That was probably because they laughed and never took him too seriously. It was refreshing to watch.

Kirishima had also been learning a lot of little things that he had never had to pay any attention to as Halfie. For example, last night, Sero showed him how to make a proper campfire. And not set himself on fire, too.

The day before that, he had learned not to eat every mushroom you randomly find. He had been out with Kaminari and asked him if the weird purple-y mushrooms he had found counted as food. Kaminari said he didn't know and ate one to check....

Kirishima ended up having to carry a barely conscience, throwing up, and very pale Kaminari back to the squad, where Katsuki yelled at Kaminari for a good forty five minutes.

Apparent purple usually means NO.

But he was so so happy. He finally felt like he was a part of the group, that they were actually close, and he wouldn't trade that feeling for anything.

Kirishima's eyes focused on the pathway leading up to him and saw someone struggling to make it up the steep incline.

When the man finally made it all the way up, he was severely out of breath.

"Are *wheeze* Are you Katsuki Bakugou?" He coughed at Kirishima.

Kirishima narrowed his eyes.
Don't trust anyone new. The back of his mind whispered at him.

"No. Why."

The dude looked confused and gestured to his clothes. Now that Kirishima's was looking, it did seem like a high-quality uniform of some sort.

"Because I'm the king's messenger? And I have a message for him. From the king. Do you know where he is?"

Kirishima folded his arms and wordlessly motioned for the messenger to follow him.

Bakugou growled.

One month.

That's how long it took for the kingdom to crumble if he wasn't there to hold it's fucking hand.

The messenger that Kirishima had led to him earlier brought him a letter saying,
blah blah blah,
you need to come back to this god-awful, ice cold hell hole and leave your nice, warm haven.
Blah blah blah
giant dragon.
Blah blah.
People are dying.
Come back now
We can't do anything without you.
by order of the king.

"Hey. Idiots." Four heads popped up and looked at him.

"What's up, Bakubro?" Dunce face asked.

Bakugou held up the stupid fucking letter, and growled.

"We have to go the fuck back."

If that damn kingdom wasn't on fucking fire, he was going to set it ablaze himself.

Okay, so...
It was on fire.

When they had gotten close enough, they realized that the sky was filled with thick, dark smoke. Thick enough, you could hardly tell what time of day it was.

And it was coming from fucking everywhere. The trees, the fields, the houses. Even the damn castle.

The flames were large enough that they didn't even need to get closer for the whole squad to see them. But the most concerning part was the unnatural green shade of the flames.

Or maybe it was the giant fucking dragon spitting green fire everywhere.
