Earth// The 100

Prolouge.

I ran down the hall as fast as I could pushing people out of my way. "Hault! Vienna Foster you are under arrest!" The guards from behind me yelled. I tried to run faster but came to an abrupt stop as more guards appeared in front of me. I scanned the now almost empty hallway trying to find and exit. The guards we're getting closer. I looked at the ground to find a small air duct, just big enough for me to fit my body into.

I bent down pulling the cover off and crawled in. I was almost fully in when one of the guards grabbed hold of my foot dragging me back out. I let out a high pitched scream as I kicked my legs.

I was not going to prison. I was not going to be floated like my mother.

"Vienna Foster, you are under arrest for stealing medical supplies and the murder of Ryan Foster" The guard roared as he cuffed my hands behind my back. He harshly lifted me off the ground and dragged me back down the hall.

That was three years ago. I've been in prison for 3 years. And now I have only a year before I get floated. I say this because I am fully sure that I will not be reviewed and freed of my crime.

I sat in the corner of the room with my back pressed against the wall. I quietly hummed a song my mother used to sing to me before she was floated.

The door to my cell was opened, quite harshly I may add. "Prisoner 168, Stand facing the wall at the back of the cell." I rolled my eyes standing up and dropping my head onto the wall. I had assumed I was about to be floated, luckily I had came to terms with it. One of the men slapped a pair of cuffs onto my hands and roughly pulled me out of my cell.

When we were in the hall I looked around seeing dozens of other kids being pulled out of their cells. "Whats going on? What happening?!" I asked as I thrashed around in the arms of the guards. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in my mid back. I let out a yelp and my eyes became blurry. I felt myself go weak and my head go fuzzy.

"You're going to the ground"
