Chapter 1//Landing

I woke with a start. A shaking feeling wracked my body as voices echoed threw my head. My eyes slowly open to see people all around me, laughing and talking. A sound I hadn't heard often since I was locked up.

"Good morning" A boy next to me spoke, "I'm Jasper" He smiled. "And I'm Monty" The boy beside him smiled brightly. "Vienna" I half smiled moving my hair out of my face.

I reached up to rub my temples, hoping to sooth my headache. "What the hell?" A thick metal band was wrapped around my wrist. I tried to move but it stung. "Where am I?" I asked sitting up from my slouching position in the seat. "You're on the drop ship going to earth" He said.

I heard Jaha's voice booming over all other voices. He explained to us what was happening and why we we're being sent down, a farewell if you will. "Your dads a dick Wells!" Someone shouted in the distance. I looked forward to see a boy with long hair floating around. "Check it out, your dad floated me after all." He smiled at the boy I had assumed to be Wells. "You need to sit back down" The blonde sitting next to Wells told him. The ship was bouncing about as we plummeted back to earth. A couple of other boys unbuckled themselves also. "Hey I don't think that's a good idea!" I spoke over the sounds in the ship. "Stay in your seats if you want to live!" She yelled at them.

Suddenly the ship jerked sending the kids out of their seats into the walls. Commotion broke out all threw the ship. "Whats going on?!" I yelled over all the chaos. "The parachute just deployed!" Monty yelled his response. Sparks fell wildly all over the ship as people screamed in panic, everything was chaos. I squeezed my eyes shut, truthfully preparing for death.

There was one last shake before everything stopped. My eyes slowly opened and I looked around. The blonde and the long hair boy were checking the two boys thrown into the wall. They looked unhopeful as Clarke shook her head. People started to get out of their seats and head to the exit. I unbuckled my seatbelt standing up awkwardly. Following slowly behind the large crowd of fellow delinquents.

Everybody gathered at the door. "Stop!" The blond yelled to a boy in the front of the crowd. He was dressed in guards attire, I wondered if he was sent down with us to keep us in line. "The air could be toxic!" She exclaimed. I squeezed my small frame in between people and to the door. "If the air is toxic we're all dead anyway" He said before grabbing the lever. "Bellamy?" I girls voice came from behind the crowd. "That's the girl they his under the floor" A boy next to me whispered. I had no idea what he was talking about. "What the he'll are you wearing?" She snapped at him after they pulled away. "I borrowed it to get on the drop ship, someones gotta keep an eye on you" He smiled before they hugged again. "Where's your wristband?" Clarke spoke from next to me. "Do you mind? I haven't seen my brother in a year" The girl spat. Chatter started up all over. "No one has a brother!" A boy shouts. "That's Octavia Blake, the girl they found hidden under the floor!" A girl behind me points out. The girl known as Octavia lunges forward but Bellamy hold her back. "How about we give them something else to remember you by," He smiled. Octavia scoffed, "Oh yeah? Like what?" The older boy smiled even bigger. "How about being the first person on the ground in 100 years." She smiled brightly as he pulled the lever, opening the door.

She deserved to be first on the ground if her being locked under the ground was true.

A bright light nearly blinded me as I felt a gust of wind brush past me. Taking in a deep breath I smiled, watching the girl step out of the drop ship. She got to the edge of the ramp, then jumped. Landing on the dirt below for the fist time.

"We're back bitches!" She screamed and suddenly people were racing out of the ship, screaming and cheering. I smiled following after. Jumping off of the edge and taking in another breath.

I smiled looking around, taking in how the earth is, wondering how it once was. Wandering what was once in this spot 97 years ago. Was it only more forest? A bustling city with buildings towering over all else? Or a stretch of cracking road? Like I had seen in old photos and heard about in books.
