Chapter 7// Contents Under Pressure

The storm was coming in fast and everyone in camp was trying to pack up everything that could be destroyed into the ship. Raven worked hard to make contact with the Ark. I helped Clarke mend Finns wounds and keep him stable but she still didn't know what to do.

"Hows he doing?" I asked walking back toward her after standing by Raven. "Not good, I need my mother. She knows what to do, not me" She spoke frustrated. Suddenly a voice came over the radio and my heart skipped a beat, The entire camp got silent hearing a voice from the Ark echo threw the ship. I turned around to see Clarke running toward her. "My name is Raven Reyes, I'm from Meka station. I'm transmitting from the ground, the hundred is alive." She spoke looking back to us. "Give me Doctor Abby Griffen. Doctor Abby Griffen, now." She demanded looking to Finn.

"Raven are you there?" Abby's voice came over the speaker after a few minutes. Clarke grabbed the mic, pausing for a moment. "Mom?" She spoke hesitantly. I smiled, happy Clarke was finally able to speak to her mom after we landed.

"Hey their back!" A girl yelled as Bellamy walked in, followed by two other boys. They dragged in the grounder that took Octavia and stabbed Finn. "Bellamy what are you doing?" I asked walking toward him. "Its time to get some answers," He said pushing me back. "Oh, you mean revenge?" Octavia scoffed. "Intel" He corrected, "Get him upstairs." The other boys picked up the grounder, bringing him up the ladder. I stood watching him as he and Clarke argued. "This isn't who we are!" Clarke spoke. "It is now" Bellamy retorts as Clarke walks back to the radio to speak to Abby.

He catches eye contact with me for a moment before turning away. "Bellamy," I said grabbing his wrist, "Don't do this, it isn't right and you know it." I shook my head creasing my eyebrows. He shook me off, "Nobody follows, especially her" He pointed at me before climbing up the ladder.

I watch him in disappointment as he goes up the ladder. Looking back at Clarke, seeing her with Raven, next to Finn. Then back at the boy standing at the bottom of the ladder, he was the only thing keeping me out.

I take a deep breath before grabbing his face and kissing him. He stood in a dazed state after I pull away. "I'm sorry about this" I apologized before pushing him to the ground and quickly climbing up. "Hey!" He yells scrambling to his feet. He reaches for my ankles trying to pull me down.

I make it to the top and out of the hatch. The boy comes up immediately behind me, "I'm sorry Bellamy, she got past me" He apologizes grabbing my shoulder. I shrug him off looking around. Bellamy and the other boys had tied the grounder's arms up so he couldn't move. "Bellamy," I whispered, my eyes trained on the grounder. He looked back at me, as soon as he did the grounder pulled at his restraints growling. I jumped slightly taking a step back, "Hey he's secured" He whispers grabbing my hand. "You shouldn't be here Foster, you need to go" He guides me back to the hatch. "I'm staying Bellamy" I speak firmly. "Do you want me to tie you up again? Because I will if that's what I have to do" He growled quietly, I glared at him. "Ill only get out again, you can't keep me" I corrected. "Fine, stay. But don't say I didn't warn you." He retorted.

I felt nervous, afraid of what I might see but I didn't want Bellamy doing anything he would regret. Octavia came up behind me, when she saw the scene her breathing increased. "Octavia get out of here!" He yelled to his sister.

"I told you he was protecting me, you didn't have to do this" She told him angrily. "This isn't about you, I'm doing this for all of us" Bellamy told her, looking to me for a moment. As if trying to prove to me that his actions were justifiable.

"You did that for all of us?" She asked looking to the bloodied grounder. "No I did that for Finn, and Jasper, and Digs, and John, and Roma" His voice getting louder with each name. "It wasn't even him!" She defended. "You don't know that! We need to know what we're up against. How many there are, and why their killing us." He exclaimed looking toward the grounder. "And he's gonna tell us right now" Bellamy spoke walking to him. "Bellamy don't!" She snapped grabbing his wrist. He pulled away "Get her out of here, take Foster with you" He spoke walking forward.
