Chapter Eight

"I can't believe you woke me up so early just so that I can walk you to your class." I huffed as I stomped angrily. I'm not much of an early person. It would've been okay with me if she woke me up at seven a.m but no, she freakin woke me up at 5 am just so that I can help her get ready for school and accompany her too!

"It's my very first day in college," Genevieve said as she inserted her hands in her coat pockets. "I need to look good and I don't want to walk alone to the uni."

"You manage to look good without me," I whined as I gave her an annoyed look. "And the uni is like 2 blocks away from our place."

"It doesn't matter know, does it? You're here, walking with me." She gave me a pointed look.

"Whatever." I groaned in annoyance.

"It's a bummer we only have Literature together and it's only on Wednesdays and Fridays." She pouted.

"It's better than nothing and besides," I said, smiling at her. "We live together! Here in London without anyone to tell us what to do."

"Hell yeah," Genevieve screamed, making two old people give us disapproving looks. "And your eighteenth birthday is in a few weeks." She said in a sing-song voice.

"I hate birthday parties, you know that. So don't you even dare try planning one." I said, looking at her with my eyes narrowed.

"Who said I would plan a birthday party for you?" She looked at me like I was crazy. "Don't feel so special, hun." I gave her a suspicious glance as we continued to walk.

I checked my watch. 6:47.

"You better start running," I stated as we arrived the gates of the uni. "You have like thirteen minutes left 'till your first period starts."

"Shit," she swore as she hugged me. "I will call you later after my class." I squeezed her tight, feeling like a mother seeing her daughter attend her very first day in school.

"Bye. Text me if you get to meet any cute boy." I winked as I released her. She laughed out loud as she turned around and made a dash inside.

I have two hours to spare. What should I do?

And as if on cue, my stomach grumbled.

I breathed in the familiar smell of the cafe shop as I walked in. I looked around, seeing that there were only a few people inside. My eyes stopped on him as he twirled his teaspoon. I walked over to him and sat myself down in front of him as I called a waitress.

"I have come to be so close with you, Cecy." He said, not even looking up from the book he was reading. "That I don't even need to look up to know who you are."

"And how is that, Daniel?" I asked, looking at him with a playful glint in my eyes.

"I have come to familiarized myself with your smell."

I burst out laughing as he finally looked up from his book. "Oh God. I can't believe you smell me. Is it normal for you to sniff on people?" I joked as he looked at me like I was mental.

"I do not sniff you," he said in disgust. "I've just spent too much time with you for the past week that I've come to familiarize myself with your scent." He said, defending himself.

"Right," I laughed again as the waitress gave me the menu. "No need to be so defensive, Mr. Stalker."

"I am not a stalker!" Daniel half screamed like a child but I ignored him and told the waitress my order instead.
