Chapter Twelve
The whole place was packed. Well maybe not that packed but there were maybe a hundred of college students here. I recognized some from my classes but I don't really speak to them. There were three wooden tables on the side, where all the food and drinks were placed. People were lying on the probably almost dead grass, trying to get a tan. House music was playing and some people were dancing like they were professional dancers, but truthfully they looked like they were having a cardiac arrest, on random places. Weirdly no one was wearing a bikini or any swimming attire. Everyone was wearing casual clothes, even those who were playing and swimming at the lake.
We stepped out of the car and the warm breeze of the wind hit my face. I removed my coat, revealing my white tank top and skinny jeans I was wearing.
"Better leave that coat inside the car if you ever want to see and use it again." Gary said, throwing his inside the car.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Just trust me, Cecy." He said in a serious tone that made me look at him weirdly and just shrugged my head as I threw my coat inside the car. He locked the car and beckoned us to follow him.
"John hates having party crashers so the fact that his dad is filthy rich, he got to hire some guards."
"Oh John," Alice said in a sing-song voice. "That daddy's boy spoiled brat."
"But he's a nice lad." Daniel argued, trying to avoid the rocks on the floor that made him almost trip a while ago. This place has so many rocks, you can possibly die if you fall.
"Of course he's a nice lad," Adam rolled his eyes. "He gives us free beer and he's hilarious."
"Sorry," Genevieve spoke up. "Who is this John lad?"
"John was a friend of ours back in high school. Rumor has it that his dad is the head of this mafia. But I don't think that's even true. I've met his dad once and he was as kind as fuck. He kept treating me like a princess when my family was invited to eat dinner with them for some business shit. He said he wanted a daughter and I was ready to be his but then nah, I love my retarded family." Genevieve and I laughed at her. "But nobody really knows what his father does. Even my dad doesn't know. He said that Mr. Bellington just gave a big ass money to him for the company my dad worked for."
You can clearly see who were the guards in the party even though they were wearing casual clothes too, they were the ones standing alone and was discerning the whole place and they have this aura coming out of them, saying 'I-am-ready-for-some-action'. We were stopped when two men blocked our way. They were both wearing jeans and a plain white t-shirt. They had that blank expressions plastered on their faces.
"Password?" One man said.
"Password?" Alice scoffed in disbelief. "What is this? Middle school?"
Gary and Daniel burst out laughing and they sounded like dying pigs. But then they stopped when they realized the guards were being serious. Gary brought out his phone.
"John Bellington, you immature bastard." He laughed on his phone. He paused for a minute waiting for John to finish speaking then after he hung up, not even saying 'goodbye' or a 'see you , mate.'
"Penis." He simply said, trying not to laugh. The two guards step aside and resumed looking at a distance.
"Of course that's the password." Adam said.
We walked to an empty spot near the river and sat down. Random people passing by, who were doing weird psychotic dances, gave us drinks. I swear this place is filled with retarded people. But good retarded.
