- Liam's POV-

"Hey love." I said as she flung the door open that morning. "Quick..."I mumbled as the box became heavier. She got out of my way and I stepped out of my way and I sat the box on the steps. "Now, we have a big day today." I say and walk in with her.

"First tell me what's in the box." She crosses her arms. I shake my head and throw some blankets onto the floor. I walk into her kitchen and grab some glasses and the gallon of milk. I bring the box over and sit on the floor.

"Join me?" I ask and she listens. She takes her seat next to me. I stab my key into the tape on the top of the box. "Pop Tarts!" I smile and hand her a foil pouch with two pop tarts in it. "A pair of each flavor." I smile and grab one.

"Wow Liam." She laughs and rips open a pouch. "Pumpkin?" She raises her eyebrow and takes a bite. "Alright that's ratchet."  She swallows it and drinks her milk. "Worst one so far." She cringes. I take a bite and spit it out. "See?" She laughs and I throw that one away. "Isn't nasty." I agree with her. It was horrible artificial pumpkin pie flavor. Pumpkin pie is something you can not fake. I hand her another pouch and she hands me the second pop tart in it. "Oh my! It's Hello Kitty MeowBerry!"

"I ordered it on the Internet!" I say and she starts laughing. "I'm sorry! I had to! I know it's discontinued!"  She laughs again. I take the the list of pop-tarts out of the bottom of the box. "We have a lot go!" I start handing her pouches and boxes of the best flavors.

We sit on the floor and finish the whole entire box of pop tarts. There were over thirty flavors. I'm overall stuffed now. I lean back against the couch and rest my hands on my stomach. "I need to exercise." I say with a huff. She continues to giggle and leaves her head on my shoulder. "How are you feeling?" I ask and look down at her. This is how I remember it. We were perfectly happy together. I'd like to get that back, but now it was useless.

"Just a headache....like usual." She drops the smile. I rub her shoulder and drop my head to the couch. "I'm alright though." She shrugs. "Don't worry about me. When are you going back?"  I look down at her, very excited to tell her I wasn't leaving till I finished this. The boys weren't very happy that I was skipping a little bit of the tour. I remember calling them up and telling them late last night. Their reaction was horrific.

"She's not worth it Liam!" Louis snapped at the other end. "She'll just go and die." I gripped my IPhone just a little tighter, just being careful not to say something stupid. "Just finish Christmas break and come tour again."

"No! I want to help her finish this!" I growled under my breath. "End of story." I hung up, just in time to get a call from Harry. "Yes, you've heard right. I'm going to stay with Lacie. I need to help her finish what I started." I hang up without arguing.

That's it. I continued to ignore the text messages from the boys telling me to come back. It's not like I left the band, I'm just not going to tour for a few weeks. The reality of this cancer would end up horrific. But I don't care. This is the least I could do.

I get up and start collecting all the wrappers and boxes and throw them in the garbage. "Was today a good day Lace?" I ask as I pick up the last of the remains of the food.

"Yes, Thank you very much." She smiles. I could see the fatigue in her eyes.

"I'll be going soon." I say, I've already tired her out enough.

"I appreciate all this Liam." She says and crawls up to the couch. "I know I don't look like I do, but I do." I come back and sit next to her. "Thank you."

"I really should be going..." I stand up again. "Goodbye beautiful..." I lay a soft kiss on her fore head. Something about it is reluctant to pull away. I fear that I'll leave and when I come back she won't be there anymore. It's actually terrifying. Someone I've know for a majority of my life. Watching her crumble. Looking into her eyes and seeing pain. And knowing I can't help her get better. Nothing can save her. I'm still trying to tell myself this will all be worth it in the end. I don't know how ong I can keep telling myself that. Just looking in her eyes makes me cry.I can see it, she's scared, she's hurting, she's sick inside. I finally do pull away and look past her. "I'll see you tomorrow." I mumble. "Goodbye again."

"Can we not say goodbye? It's the second worst word in the human language. It's means leaving and never seeing that person again. And that means forgetting. I don't want to forget you. Can't we use something nicer like, 'see you later'  or something?" I turn back to her. "I don't want to say anymore goodbyes." There were a few tears in her eyes.

"Stop crying. If you cry, I cry. You don't want to see me cry." I tried to say with a smile. "Please." She nodded and looked down, wiping her face. "Now, I'll see you later." I kiss her forehead again and quickly walk out the door, before she can see me actually cry. I stop at my car and shove the key  in the lock. "C'mon Liam.... Control yourself." I whispered as I got in. Why do I have to be falling for a girl that's going to break me? Why do bad thing happen to good people? This is so frustrating. Just when I think things have settled.... "Calm yourself." I whisper again. "You need to make her happy tomorrow, you can't do that when you're a wreck." I took deep breaths and started my car. Let's make tomorrow a good day. A good, happy, wonderful day.
