Girl Boo

Jewel Daniels was at the mall with her friend Alaina because she said she had to look good for her boo joint when he got back. Jewel chuckled and rolled her eyes playfully. Alaina always talked about him, but Jewel had never met him.

Jewel: Nana when am I gonna get to meet him. I need to see if he's good enough for you.

Alaina: Girl boo. What you need to do is get a man so you can stay out of my business.

Jewel put her hand on her chest as if she had been shot.

Jewel: Dang you didn't have to do me like that.

Alaina simply laughed and pulled her friend in to Forever 21.

Alaina: He's coming back tomorrow so you can meet him, but don't play 21 questions with him alright?

Jewel: Alright I'll ask him 20 questions.

Alaina gave her the stale face until Jewel gave in. The girls continued shopping and chatting about going off to college. Alaina and Jewel had been together for as long as they could remember. Their mothers were best friends and they did everything together. They went on double dates, they danced on their school's dance team, and they got pregnant around the same time. History was defiantly repeating itself because JD and Nana did everything together. So, it was no surprise to their parents when they announced they were both leaving Florida to attend LSU in Louisiana to major in dance.

~ Jewel's House

JD sat on her bed as she watched her best friend dance around the room like it was her last time dancing. Soon she got up and joined her. They were dancing to Feelin' Myself and they really were feeling themselves. When the song ended the girls fell on the bed giggling.

Jewel: Ok what was that for?

Alaina: Bae won an important basketball game, so I had to celebrate and do a dance for him.

Jewel: It's not like he can see you.

Alaina: Girl boo. We need to practice since we're Tiger Girls and bae is going to LSU to play on their basketball team.

Jewel: Why do you keep calling him bae? What's his name again?

Alaina: Antonio but his friends call him Tone. I like calling him bae so go ahead with all of that. 

Jewel: Wait is his last name Blakeney?

Alaina: Yeah why?

Jewel: Girl he's a beast on the court. I watched the game last night and I was like bang out Tone, but I didn't know he was your Tone. Go ahead girl, I see you.

Alaina: Do you know who his best friend is?

Jewel: No why?

Alaina: Because he is fine and I think he's perfect for you.

Jewel: I'm happy by myself Nana. I could get a man if I wanted one.

Alaina: Spoken like a true single person.

Jewel rolled her eyes at Alaina.

Jewel: Whatever girl. What's his name?

Alaina: Ben Simmons

Jewel: The one that went to Montverde with us?

Alaina: Yeah that's him.

Jewel: He's cute or whatever but I just can't see us together and he doesn't even like me.

Alaina: I have this feeling okay. Just trust me Jay. Oh and he's going to LSU too. Ben and Tone are  like the guy versions of us.

Jewel laughed and thought for a moment.

Jewel: Well, this will be interesting.
