Chapter 5

Sorry I haven't updated, I've been really busy. (I haven't)

"Who is it?" I said trying not to sound like I was crying.

"It's me, Josh"

"What do you want" I said trying to wipe my eyes.

"Look, the guys have gone into the other room and they're playing Xbox or something with Laura, I came here to see if you're okay, I think it might help if you open the door" He said sounding genuine.

I unlocked the door and he opened it slowly, I probably had mascara stains on my cheeks but that was the least of my problems right now.

He gave me a reassuring smile and led me upstairs to his room. He shut the door and I sort of stood there awkwardly.

"You can sit" he laughed pointing towards the bed.

I sat down and wiped my eyes with my hands, I felt the bed dip next to me.

I couldn't help but start crying again, the look JJ gave me made me feel so intimidated.

Josh pulled me in and hugged me while rubbing my back. I was to caught up in crying to realize it. It got to the point where there were tear stains on his shoulder.

"If it makes you feel better, I had a go at JJ" he smiled as I pulled away.

I looked down at my hands.

"I'm truly Sorry Ava" he said while looking into my eyes "I understood you wouldn't forgive me over Facebook, judging by your response" He laughed "but I'm genuinely sorry"

I nodded because I believed him, I had this weird gut feeling that told me he was being honest.

"Thank you" I said looking down "But please don't start this again, because whenever your with them it starts, the bullying"

"I won't" he smiled handing me some tissues.

I took one and stood up in front of his mirror, I could feel his stair on me as I cleaned my face off.

"Thanks" I said as I turned around to face him.

He stood up and hugged me, rubbing my back with his thumb. It felt weird that I was hugging a boy that used to bully the shit out of me, but it felt nice, to have someone that cares.

"If you ever need anything just text or call" he said, handing me his number.
"If the guys or anyone does something to you just tell me" he said reassuringly.

"What time is it?" I said rubbing my eyes.

"I think it's like 1 or 2 am" he said
"Do you need a lift back, because from what I understand, you got lost"

"Yeh, pretty much" I laughed
"I mean you don't have to give us a lift back, but if you don't mind" I said rocking on my feet like a child.

He grabbed his keys and we walked downstairs, I went to get Laura.

They all looked at me weirdly but I tried my best to ignore them.

"We're leaving now" I said as she got up and followed.

"Bye!" JJ, Simon and Vikk all said to Laura obviously trying to avoid me.

Josh had just dropped Laura back and now he was heading to my house, the car ride was quiet but wasn't as awkward as I thought it would have been.

He stopped outside my house.

"Thanks for the ride" I smiled

"Just don't forget if you need anything I'm only a phone call away" he replied hugging me lightly.

I got out and unlocked my door, heading upstairs. I had a quick shower and got changed into comfy clothes.

I sat on my bed and got my phone out, adding Josh's number to it. I sent him a quick text to say it was me, I put my phone down next to me and fell asleep.
