3rd person POV:
César stayed.
He told the Santos he was out—burned the bridges, took the threats, and stood his ground.
He stayed up with you through the nausea, through the late-night cravings, through the fear.
Through everything.
But the fight didn't stop just because he walked away.
It bled into your lives in subtle ways: shadows lingering too long on the street, cryptic texts from numbers he wouldn't open in front of you.
Still, he kept his promise.

One night, late in the pregnancy—your belly swollen with life, your back aching, emotions all over the place..-
✧・゚: ✧・゚: :・゚✧:・゚✧
you stood in front of the bathroom mirror in nothing but a sports bra and his boxers.
You were crying and laughing at the same time because you couldn't reach down to shave your legs.
And then he walked in.
"Babe?" His voice softened instantly when he saw your face.
"I look like a balloon," you huffed, swiping tears away.
He walked up behind you, resting his hands gently on your belly. "You look like the woman who saved my life. Twice."
You leaned into him, and his lips pressed against your shoulder, warm and slow. "You've never looked hotter."
You rolled your eyes. "Liar."
He spun you gently to face him, backing you up against the counter. "Let me show you how much I mean it."

That night, he kissed every stretch mark, every curve, every place you felt insecure—like worship.
His hands moved slow, careful not to hurt you but still full of heat, still hungry.
When he slid between your legs, he didn't rush it.
He just whispered, "Let me love you through this." —
And you let him.

Two years later -
The apartment was small, but it was theirs.
Photos lined the walls—some crooked, some smudged with toddler fingerprints.
César was on the couch, shirtless, holding your daughter—Isla—in one arm while feeding her brother, Mateo, with a bottle in the other.
"Okay, princess," he said to Isla in that baby voice he only used when he thought no one was watching.
"Time for daddy snuggles."
You stepped out of the bedroom, fresh from a shower, hair wrapped in a towel, watching your boys and your girl—the life you'd built from chaos.
César looked up and grinned. "There she is."
You sat beside him, kissing Mateo's chubby cheek, then leaning over to press your lips to César's.
"You're a good dad," you whispered.
"You're a badass mom," he said. "I couldn't do this without you."
"You did the hard part," you teased. "You left everything behind."
He looked at you then—serious, full of quiet gratitude. "You were worth it."
Mateo let out a squeaky giggle between sucks on the bottle.
Isla clung to César's chain like it was her favorite toy.
And in that moment, surrounded by love and laughter, you realized something:
This wasn't just survival anymore.
This was home.
