Part 2: Afterglow
Brief synopsis-
The morning after. Soft kisses, whispered confessions, but the world outside César's room is already creeping back in. Maybe a knock on the door... maybe trouble's brewing.

3rd Person POV:
Warm sunlight crept in through the blinds, casting soft shadows across César's bare chest. He was still asleep, lips slightly parted, one arm wrapped tightly around your waist like he was afraid to let you go—even in his dreams.
You laid there for a while, just watching him breathe.
It hit different in the daylight.
Last night had been full of whispers, slow touches, heat that made your skin ache. But this—this was real in a whole new way. The quiet, the calm, the raw vulnerability of waking up tangled in each other, no rush, no pretending.
You brushed a curl from his forehead, and he stirred.
His eyes fluttered open slowly, those deep brown irises locking onto you with a sleepy smile. "Hey."
"Hey," you whispered back, smiling into the quiet.
César tightened his grip around you, pulling you against his chest. "Thought I was dreaming."
You laughed softly. "Nope. You actually got lucky."
He chuckled, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "You sure it was okay? Last night... I just—I wanted it to be good for you."
You tilted your head back to look at him, fingers tracing lazy patterns over his skin. "It wasn't just good, César. It felt... right. You felt right."
That made his smile falter for a second, like he didn't know how to hold the weight of those words. But instead of brushing them off, he nodded. "Yeah. You did too. Like... everything else faded for a second."
You kissed him, slow and sweet.
But then—
Knock knock knock.
The sudden banging on the door made both of you freeze.
"César!" a voice called—Jamal, loud and very Jamal. "You in there?! Abuelita says your ass better not be skipping breakfast again!"
You groaned, burying your face in his neck. "Are you serious right now?"
César chuckled, but it was laced with tension. "That's the real world creeping in."
You pulled back and looked at him. "We don't have to let it ruin this."
He paused, searching your face. "You mean that?"
You nodded. "Whatever's out there, we face it together."
He leaned in, kissing you like a thank-you, like a promise. "Ride or die?"
"Always."
