"Cause we don't have the time to be sorry..."I mumble the words to my old song
"DAD IM HOME!"Mine and Taylor's daughter Cheyenne shouts
"IM IN THE LIVING ROOM!"I shout back
She walks in and sets her backpack on the love seat and pulls off her hoodie.
"Dad so you know how I'm 13 now..."She says
"Of course I know how old my princess is."I say smiling
"So all the other girls in my class have boyfriends."She says
"I thought you were lesbian though chy."I say confused
"I am.My point is can I get a girlfriend?Please!I really like this one girl her name is Leah!"She whines
"Let me call your father."I say getting up and walking upstairs with my iPhone clutched in my hand
I quickly dial Taylor's number
Ring Ring Ring Ring Ring Rin-
"Hello?"
"Taylor."
"Shawn."He says laughing
"No Taylor this is serious."I say
"Please don't tell me you're pregnant again!"He whines
"No I'm not pregnant."I hiss,"Cheyenne wants to date."I say
"Funny joke Shawn now what did you really want to tell me?"
"I'm not kidding Taylor Michael Caniff."I say
"So our baby wants to get a girlfriend?"He asks
"Yes you're finally catching on."I say
"Tell her I said to wait until I get home and then we'll talk."Taylor says
"Okay.I love you."I say
"I love you too baby."Taylor says and I hang up
"Chy!!!!!"I shout
"Yes dad?"She asks slipping in the door way
"Your father said to wait until he gets home."I say
"But think about it like this...You were my age when you and dad started dating."She says
"I know chy.But I had parents that didn't care about me and Taylor fed me and bought me clothes and gave me a shelter.Would Leah do that for you?"I ask
"Well you do have a point..."She trails off
"Let's go make dinner so we can eat when your father gets home."I say and get up
We walk to the kitchen and we begin cooking

"I'm home baby!"Taylor shouts as he walks through the door
"Hi."I say smiling as Cheyenne goes and hugs him
"I want a hug from daddy too."Taylor says
I walk over to him and he wraps his arms around my small torso.
"Dinners ready."I say
We all sit down at the table and begin eating
"So Cheyenne I heard you want a girlfriend."Taylor says
"I do."She says
"Well why do you think you deserve to be able to date?"Taylor asks
"I think I should be able to date because you and dad starting dating when dad was my age."She says
"But Cheyenne I told you earlier I had parents that didn't care about me and Taylor fed me,Bought me clothes and gave me a shelter."I say
"Yeah...I guess you have a point..."Cheyenne says
"So my answers gonna have to be no at this moment chy."Taylor says
"Fine."She says looking upset
"I'm going to my room."She says
"Okay...No dessert?"I ask
"No not tonight."She says
"Okay..."I say hesitantly
"Goodnight chy."Taylor says
"Goodnight baby."I say
She just ignores us and walks away.
"Maybe we should let her date Tay..."I say
"Shawn,She's so young and she's my baby."Taylor says
"Hey I thought I was your baby!"I say laughing
"You're my baby boy and I love you so much."Taylor says kissing me as I pick up his plate
"I love you too Tay."I say
