"Hello mr. And Mrs. Mendes."I say politely
"Hi Taylor."They grin
"Taylor!"Aaliyah shouts running towards me
"Hey Aaliyah,Where's Shawn?"I ask since I was over here for a dinner with his family
"R-right h-h-here."I hear a small voice say
I turn around and see Shawn standing there in a suit and tie and he's smiling
"You look beautiful baby."I coo kissing his forehead
"T-Thanks T-T-Taylor."He says smiling
"Let's go baby."His mom says and we all pile into her car
"So Taylor how's work?"Shawn's dad asks
"It's going great actually I just got promoted so now I'm manager."I beam proudly
"Y-y-you n-nev-never t-told me t-that."Shawn says frowning
"I'm sorry baby I've been to busy with work."I frown
He mumbles something incoherent and I just shrug it off
"Shawn baby how's school?"I ask since he was in his senior year while I had graduated two years ago
"I-It's g-g-going g-gr-great."Shawn says smiling
"That's amazing baby."I coo pecking his lips
"Aaliyah how's school doing hon?"Shawn's mom asks
She forces a smile and mutters a "great"
I see Shawn give her a worried look but I think nothing of it.
"H-h-hey t-tay-Taylor h-h-how d-d-d-did w-we meet?"He asks
"We met when you were sophomore year and you really didn't have many friends you had two but you seemed content with that.A lot of people bullied you for your stutter which I found adorable and your friend Liam always defended you.i always wish I could defend you but since I first laid my eyes on that small freshman the first day you were dropped off I promised myself that I would never get close to Shawn mendes because I could never forgive myself for ruining a soul so pure.But I couldn't stop myself from complimenting you when you got the lead in the school play,I had made you cry multiple times because I was always to mean for you to handle,it always broke my heart to see you cry so I separated myself from you.You walked around school with your head down and you seemed depressed.It didn't look like the little Shawn I had met after the school play,I couldn't take it so when my prom rolled around I immediately asked you to come with me which you hesitantly agreed to."I say
"Aw!"Aalyiah coo's from the back
