More Than Friends

You're my best friend
That's all we will ever be
Together until the end
You and me

She's the one that gets your heart
And you can't see I'm the one that likes you
Even though I've been here from the start
And she's someone new

You hold her hand
And sneak kisses when you think no one is looking
You'll lay together in the sand
Looking up at the stars, sharing

You're always with her
Never with me anymore
You two aren't as close as we were
You left my heart sore

All I get is a small glance every once in a while
She wouldn't even take a step
But me, I would walk a mile
She has a bad rep

She has your heart
But she doesn't even care
She hasn't from the start
This pain of knowing, I can not bare

She plays with you
As if it were a game
And you have no clue
She's taking her aim

She breaks up with you
She was mean in many ways
That is the reason, I know
Why you haven't left your room in days

I try to talk to you , but you won't listen
I fall asleep outside your bedroom door
As you watch the moonlight glisten
Your dad finds me and pick me up off the floor

I sleep in your living room
Mad, my parents will be
I might just meet my doom
In the morning you find me

Fast asleep
And realize I've been with you all this time
Tears of joy, you begin to weep
As silent as a mime

I never left your side
Not when everyone told me to
Not even when you lied
Because I lied too

You watch me sleep
With no words said
Until your sister tells you not to be a creep
You pick me up and move me to your bed

I wake up wrapped in your arms
You hold me tight
Which brings me such alarms
I look to my right

Meeting your unique eyes
I start to say I'm fine
But you stop the lies
By pushing your lips to mine
