A Bittersweet Love

Today is my cousin's recital for dance, she does ballet point and I can't wait to see how she has improved from last year. I don't really look the best and really need a shower but school is almost out and I'm in a not caring mood.

I'm so excited to be a junior next year! I'll make sure I hang out with my friends a lot! As I thought to myself while my Dad finds a parking spot near the theater.

My family parks and we get out to make our way up to the entrance. The floor is carpeted red and we have to go up 2 short flight of stairs to get to the ticket table. My Grandma was waiting with our tickets to get in.

Then there was another table in front of the doors to the theater. I see Trevor selling some energy drinks along with his dad.

Trevor is the dance studio's owner's son and also is the popular male dancer at the studio. He has dark brown hair to where it looks black. He has small brown caring eyes and thin perfect lips. He is skinny but is rather muscular even though sometimes you can't tell.

My Dad walks up and starts asking about the energy drinks and eventually all of my family and I talk with one another.

I can't believe I am talking with this guy! He is the popular guy in the studio! And he is really chill! I was thinking to myself the whole time talking with him.

Eventually my family and I were able to sit down and enjoy the performance. My cousin did really well and I was proud that she was able to do many moves while on her tippy-toes.

Then Trevor comes on the stage in a red shirt, jeans, and some DC shoes. He is alone on the stage and does a hip-hop choreography. My eyebrows lift here and there as I watch him and sometimes my jaw drops. He dances like there is a joint in every place of his body! I was in awe by the way he danced even though he got on the stage a few more times with groups and did different genres. I still thought it was amazing.

After the performance was done, my family congratulated my cousin on a job well done and it rained so we were waiting for that to pass over.

When it stopped, my Dad went to the car while my Mom, sister, and I waiting out side from the side entrance of the theater. My Mom saw Travor's mom and started talking with her until Trevor showed up and joined the conversation.

"Hey", Trevor said.
"Hi", I replied back.
"So which school do you go to?", asked Trevor.
I replied, "Ashley Wildcat High School"
"I think you did really well on the stage", I said to him.

When my mom head that, she started boasting about how good he was and that she loved it.

"Well it's nothing really, I just love to dance.", he replied back to her.

My dad pulled up with the car and the conversations still kept going.  All of us talk about different things. Trevor was impressed by the sound system in my dad's car. Soon we started saying goodbyes and I got a hug from Trevor. It surprised me because I really felt lucky to be talking to such a cool guy and then get a hug from him. It was paradise!

The ride home and throughout the rest of the night I couldn't help but smile at our connection.

Wouldn't it be great to get to know him more. His hug felt really good as well! I can't believe tonight happened like it did, I was not expecting this! Saying this to myself happily.
