Rules and Conditions of the Book Club

Rules!

So, the rules are an extension of the conditions. The conditions are our collective agreement for the book club to accommodate all the members. The rules are specified for your individual agreement to cooperate.

Rule 1) Be respectful! This is a must, such as when giving constructive criticism , do not just tell people they "suck" that is prohibited. Speak to each other respectfully. 

Rule 2) Three strike rule: You guys all have three strikes. When you disobey a rule or condition, you will receive a strike. Three of those and we will have to remove you from the club.

Rule 3) Once a week we will have one discussion thread to discuss future moves of the club. You must be there, if you can't please let us know. We accept excused absences such as illness, no internet, being grounded, busy with school, loss of family member. But please let us know so you can catch up on what you missed. You can miss up to four unexcused absences from those meetings, and after that you will be removed.

Rule 4) No promoting your book on other people's stories. They won't like it and we won't either. We are here to support everyone, not just yourself.

Rule 5) Feel free to message us with any questions or concerns about the club or any ideas about improving the club. We consider everything.

Rule 6) If any allegations are made about improper conduct under the club's guidelines, we will investigate and make the necessary moves to seek the truth and justice. If you want to make a claim, you may message us and we will leave your identity anonymous if you prefer.

I hope we don't sound too controlling or harsh, we just want to make a positive and non judgement environment that is safe for everyone. We hope you join! We welcome all.
