Ch.22

*four days later*

Bella's pov

Luke was coming home today! It had been four days since his lungs acted up, and he's been fine ever since. He kept writing about how happy he was to come home yesterday.

I've also gone on two more dates with Michael.. It's now official! Luke wasn't very happy to hear about that for some reason... Or really anytime I tell him about our relationship.

I ran downstairs wearing a crop top with an alien emoji on it, black shorts, and converse. I jumped on Ash's back.

"To the car!" I yelled, pointing at the door

"Yes ma'am!" He ran to the car

He put me down and got in the front seat, as I got in the passenger seat.

"To the hospital!" I yelled laughing

"Yes ma'am!" He yelled back

We got out of the car and went into the hospital. Ash walked to the desk and I walked to Luke's room and sat next to his bed.

"Hey Luke!"

"Hi!" His voice was lower and raspy and... Really really hot

"So how does your voice feel?" I asked

"Uh it hurts when I drink water-"

"But that's normal." Tanya said, walking in

"Hey Tanya!" I said

"Hey Bella!" She said, giving me a hug

"It hurts though." Luke whined

"That's why we have these pills." Tanya said holding up a blue box, "and these are to help your lung heal." She held up a red box

"Oh." He said

"So can he like go outside or anything or does he have to rest?" I asked Tanya

"Well.. I guess he's okay with going outside but no running or anything physical or he might overwork his lung or the stitches might come undone. If you have any trouble breathing, any trouble at all, do not hesitate to call me." Tanya said to Luke

"Okay." He said

"Alright, I got the papers signed!" Ash said, walking in

"Need help?" I asked Luke, and he nodded

Tanya walked to Ash and told him what the pills were for and about him going outside and stuff.

Luke was a little wobbly at first, but soon got the hang of walking. He looked like a penguin the way he was walking.

Me, Ash, and Luke all walked out.

"Oh man, I never realized how much I missed this place." Luke said

"Go and get changed- we're getting fro-yo!" I cheered

Luke went upstairs, looking around. Someone came up behind me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I turned around to see Michael as he put his arms on my waist.

"Where've you been all morning?" He asked, his voice still raspy from sleep

"Me and Ash picked up Luke from the hospital." I said, hugging him

"Mhm." He mumbled into my shoulder

"So do you wanna come and get fro-yo with us?" I asked

"Who's 'us'?"

"Me, Luke, and I suppose Ash."

"Yeah okay. But I have to get dressed."

"Mkay." I said

We all got in the car, almost not fitting. Calum decided to come along also. Ash started the car and I turned on the radio. Check yes, Juliet came on the radio and we all screamed out the lyrics.

The song was almost over when we got to the fro-yo shop.

"So Bella I gotta-"

"Hey I never knew you could sing! You're really good!" Luke cut Michael off

"Uh thanks." I said, taking a quick glance at Michael

"Yeah anyways, Bella-"

"What do you want to be when you grow up? You'd be an amazing singer. We could totally get you signed or something!" Luke interrupted Michael once again

"Um yeah sure. What were you trying to say Michael?" I asked

He and Luke were glaring at each other.

Michael broke it and said, "it doesn't matter."

"Oh. Okay." I said quietly

We walked in and got the fro-yo. Calum got chocolate with sprinkles, Luke got cookies and cream with crumbled Oreos on top, Michael got salted caramel with fudge, I got strawberry with sprinkles, and Ashton got vanilla with sprinkles.

"I hope you don't mind.. I invited someone.." Ash said nervously

"Oh yeah that's fine." I said, smiling

He led us over to a table. A girl with dark brown hair in a French braid looked up at us.

"Hey Ash!" She said, giving him a hug

"Hey! I wanted you meet some of my friends." He said

"Alright." She had an English accent and seemed very nice

"Guys, this is Elizabeth, or Beth. Beth, this is Michael, Luke, and Calum, my band mates, and this is Bella, Michael's girlfriend." Ashton said, gesturing to us

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I said, shaking hands with her

We all sat down and the boys submerged themselves in conversation.

"So, how did you and Ashton meet?" I took it upon myself to make her feel welcome

"Oh, uh I think we met at... Oh! We met at a bowling alley." Beth said

"No way! Ash did you meet her the same night of me and Michael's date?" I asked, pulling him out of the conversation he was having with the boys

"Yep." He said, slinging an arm over her shoulders

"That is crazy!" I shook my head

I'm really sorry I didn't update sooner.. I've been really depressed and it's hard to not show it.. I don't really think anyone understands.. I don't even know why I'm telling whoever is reading this but two of my pets have died in the same summer. First my dog, and now my hamster.

I might not be updating much... Or ever again... Idk. How much do you really like this book? Do you even care? Whatever.
