Please Help Me Mike

(Billie's POV)

It's been about 2 hours since I lit up. Mike and I needed a pick me up to get through the rest of the day. Tre just has built in energy. I don't know where the fuck he gets it from, but he is always hyper.

I wrote down what Mike wanted.

"Do you want anything Tre?" I look up to Tre, who's standing over me.

"Can you get me a cake?" Tre jumps up and down. He's just like a child

"Get me the money for that damn cake then. Y'know I can't pay $20 for a whole cake." I say while Tre pouts, but then gets his wallet out and hands me a $20.

"Kay, be back later." I slur while walking out and shutting the door.

It's convenient that the coffee shop downtown is only 4 blocks away, and it's relatively cheap.

I walk into the coffee shop, standing behind the one person in line. They finish their order, and I walk up to the counter.

"Can I get a black cup of coffee with 1 sugar?" I ask the barista at the counter. He nods.

"Anything else?" he asks

"Can I get a uhhh....." I take out the note where I wrote Mike's drink, "a caramel latte. I also want that cake."

"One piece?" He asks, a little confused

"No, the entire cake." I state, smirking at him.

"Uhh, is that for here or to go."

"To go." I state, digging for my wallet

"That'll be $27.68." He says, tapping his screen.

I dig out the $20 Tre gave me, and I get a $10. I give it to the barista. "Keep the change." I say.

He goes back to make my order. I look around the coffee shop. I then look in the corner booth where I normally sit and wait for my order, to see that it is occupied. I then do a double take on who is occupying the booth. I see familiar hair. So familiar that I've seen it so much today.

I walk up to the booth. I see a crouching Cinder, obviously avoiding someone. I wonder who?

"Who ya hiding from?" I ask, then laughing.

Cinder then looks up, terrified. Was she hiding from me?

"Oh, y'know uhhh..." She says looking across to her friend who then speaks.

"Her...mom" says the guy uncertainly.

I slide in the booth, right next to Cinder.

"Who's this?" I say, apparently sounding a little jealous

"Oh, that's just my friend, Asher." Cinder says.

Asher then seems offended. "Just your friend, I'm your bestest friend in the whole wide world." He states. She laughs at him.

"I think one of my friends is gonna get along great with you." I laugh, thinking about what Tre will look like when he finds out that he has a new friend.

I start to think about what happened 2 and ½ hours earlier, to when Cinder was getting high with him. Then kissing him. That kiss....I don't know, but I think I liked it.

"So why did you run away after y'know." I say, motioning between me and her

"You mean after she kissed you" Asher blurts out. Cinder then glaring at him.

I smirk. Knowing that she was talking about me made me......Happy?

She turns back to me, "I don't know. I just did. I didn't think you liked it, and being a random girl, and you being my crush, I just......" She blurts out, then covers her mouth. She looked panicked. She had a crush on me? How could she have a crush on me when I haven't even noticed her before.

I smile, "You have a crush on me? Since when?" I say sarcastically

I don't think that made her feel better. "It's okay, I'm not mad. Surprised, but not mad." I say sympathetically so she'll answer my first question.

She looks unsure, then says, "Yeah I do. I've had a crush on you since first grade. I know weird, why would you wanna be with me? Don't feel obligated to make me feel better. It's just thaaa....." I put my hand over her mouth, making her shut up.

"'Why would I wanna be with you' huh? So you like me, how bout I take you on a date?" I ask, looking at her head shoot up and her looking right into my eyes. Her eyes were so dark, but so beautiful.

"You're just asking me to make me feel better." She says

"You don't know what the hell I'm thinking about. My mind is constantly whirring. Like clockwork. So are you going on a date with me, or no?" I asked once again.

She looked unsure, I could see the gears in her head turn. She's thinking.

"When do you wanna go?" She then asks me, surprised at what she said.

"How bout tomorrow night, say 7 o'clock?" I say, planning in my head what we will do.

"Let me check my calendar" she says sarcastically, then pretending she has a calendar. "I'm free." she says, chuckling

"You're so weird." I laugh, then looking at her hurt face. "You need to learn to not be so serious. I think I can give you some lessons." I respond, smirking. She then blushes.

"Ahem," Asher coughs. I laugh.

"Order up" the barista yells

"I guess I'll leave you two alone now. See you tomorrow." I salute, then picking up the drink carrier, and the whole cake. I hear Cinder giggle. I don't know if she was giggling at the fact that I had a whole cake, or that I was trying not to drop the cake and the drinks. I back into the door, then leave. I smile at Cinder through the window.

What the hell am I going to do for a date. I know it looks like I date chicks all the time, but those ones I don't really try/care. But this is different. I'm gonna need Mike romantic help. Please help me Mike.
