Y/n continued to fall as the darkness retreated. She didn’t have enough time to take in her new surroundings before her back hit the ground. Y/n grimaced in pain rolled over onto her side, then onto her knees. The pain began to fade as her healing powers kicked in. Y/n felt the water drop on her head as she looked around. Judging off that, y/n deduced that she was in the Rainy Zone of the U.S.J. She stood up and continued to look around.
???: It’s one of those kids! Get her!
Y/n turned to the voice to see 4 villains running to her. One of them blew smoke around her. Y/n rolled her eyes and turned her arms into wings, flew up into the air and blew the smoke away. The smoke villain blinked in astonishment. Y/n flew to the smoke villain and kicked him in the face. Y/n retracted her wings and roundhouse kicked another villain. Another villain tagged y/n on the left arm. She smacked them away before it was pulled into the ground. It felt like a sudden weight was put on it that keeps getting heavier. Y/n cut her losses and used Shadow Walker to create a shadow, sharp as a knife, to slice the arm off and roll away onto her feet. The missing limb regenerated back almost instantaneously before using a different shadow to throw the gravity villain away into a nearby building.
Villain #4: You ain’t goin’ get me that easy.
The villain put their hands out creating a shield out of water. Y/n sighed before rushing at him, and punching it with Righty, breaking the bubble with ease. The villain stumbled back. Y/n swept their legs and pinned them down.
Y/n: What’s your motive?
Villain #4: Alright I’ll tell you! Just don’t hurt me!
Y/n rolled her eyes.
Villain #4: We were here to kill you guys while the kid kills All Might.
Y/n got up before knocking them out. So that was their plan. So it stands to reason that there are other students in the Rainy Zone. And, if this was the difficulty of the fight y/n had just faced, these weren’t villains. Street thugs at most. She ran through the streets and alleyways, dodging past criminals instead of fighting them because doing so would be a waste of time. Until, she came across a pair of footsteps. She stopped and hugged the wall of the building. The two mystery people were talking with each other. The rain was hard enough to hear over, luckily the strangers had to talk louder to listen to one another.
???: Hopefully, that was the last of them.
There was a pause.
???: Right. If that was their intention, they would have fought with more vigor.
Another pause.
???: Indeed. That was quite strange. It almost felt like those two knew each other.
A second voice spoke up. Was there a third man? But, there were only two pairs of footsteps.
???: Yeah, but what if they, you know, knew knew each other?
???: Never mind that for now Dark Shadow. Based on the way they acted, I doubt Belladonna would be working with this filth.
Y/n gasped. Was it really? Only one way to know for sure. Y/n crouched down, unlatched Righty, and set them on the ground. Righty jumped up and stood on its fingers. Y/n pointed around the corner and Righty began to scuttle around to get in the view of the people.
???: Wait, that’s Righty. Belladonna’s in this zone, Tokoyami!
Y/n sighed in relief.
Dark Shadow: Quick, tell us where she is.
Y/n stepped out from around the corner, grabbed Righty, and placed it back.
Y/n: No need.
Y/n then learned why there was a missing voice. The second being was Koda, the shy quiet boy in Class 1-A. Dark Shadow wrapped itself around y/n. Y/n patted Dark Shadow before it let her go.
Tokoyami: I am glad that you were not in too much danger.
Koda nodded.
Y/n: Well, these guys suck at fighting, and are even worse at using their quirks. Most likely these guys are just a bunch of randos off the street. We and our classmates should be capable enough. Though I am worried about Aizawa. And All Might.
Dark Shadow: You keep calling Mr. Aizawa “Aizawa”. What’s up with that?
Y/n: It’s cause he’s my legal guardian. Long story. Back on topic, I managed to interrogate one of the thugs. It seems like they have some sort of secret weapon that’ll be used to kill All Might. Meanwhile, the rest of the class is spread out around the U.S.J. Although, it’s clear they haven’t done their research.
Tokoyami put a finger on the tip of his beak.
Tokoyami: What makes you say that?
Y/n: Because that Dark Mass, Kurogiri, would have put us in the environments that put us at a disadvantage. For example he would have put me in the Flooded zone because…
Y/n lowered her voice that was muted by the falling rain and looked away.
Y/n: I can’t swim.
The boys tilted their heads.
Tokoyami: I’m sorry… Could you repeat that?
Y/n: I can’t swim.
As she spoke, Righty pointed at y/n, then made a diagonal slashing motion, then finished with waving motion moving itself up and down. Dark Shadow appeared.
Dark Shadow: She’s saying she can’t swim.
Tokoyami: Is what Dark Shadow saying true, Belladonna?
Y/n solemnly nodded, still turned away to hide her blush of embarrassment.
Tokoyami: It is not something to be ashamed of. Besides, it does not matter to me- I mean, us.
Tokoyami turned away, his dark feather-like hair helping to cover his flushed face. Y/n cleared her throat.
Y/n: A-Anyway, here's the plan. You guys stay here and clean up the rest of the bad guys. I’m going to try and get out of here and see if I can help Aizawa out there. He’s bound to tire out at some point. I’ll try to ease the burden on him.
The boys nodded and y/n nodded in return. She began to run off, but Tokoyami grabbed her jacket, pulling her back.
Tokoyami: I promise, I’ll be quick. That villain from before, Kurogiri. He talked to you like you were familiar, but he called you Kore. Is there something you are trying to hide from us?
Y/n bit the inside of her lip. That damn question. She opened her mouth, then closed it, and took a deep breath.
Y/n: I admit, I have been hiding the truth from you.
She grabbed Tokoyami’s hand and squeezed it.
Y/n: But I promise, I’ll tell you everything.
She let go of the mutant’s hand then ran off.
