I woke up to a constant buzzing noise and quickly realized it was my alarm. Remembering that today was the last day of school before break, I instantly felt better. I got out of bed and went through my morning routine. Shower, hair, and makeup. I made my way downstairs after completing my routine and realized I had yet to 'eat breakfast'. My parents were never home long enough to notice my eating habits or anything like that. So I just got out a pan and dirtied it a little but putting a small chunk of butter on it, that way if they do come home they'll think that I actually eat.
Once at school, I made sure to keep my head down and get to my locker without being noticed by anyone.
"Hey, whore face." Lee muttered whilst walking past me. So much for not being noticed. Lee has been bullying me since 5th grade so at this point there isn't anything I haven't been called. I never say anything back, I learned that the hard way a long time ago. I made my way to class and found my seat in the very back corner. I sat down and put my earbuds in knowing that we wouldn't be learning anything today, and shrunk down in my seat. I focused on Andy's voice as he sang Perfect Weapon.
'Awake at night you focus on everyone who's hurt you, then write a list of targets, your violent lack of virtue.' The teacher walks in and I put my hood up in an attempt to hide my earbuds. He doesn't look at me once. 'Leave us alone! You're on your own! Watch out!' He starts writing something on the board, but I'm already lost in the lyrics.
I make it through the day without any problems. Music is my only means of sanity in this mad world. My favorite bands are Black Veil Brides, Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, Of Mice & Men, stuff like that. I haven't always listened to this music, but once I started cutting I stumbled upon the bands that I now consider my saviors. I've seen most of them in concert already, mainly because of Warped Tour, but I get to see Black Veil Brides on tour soon. It will pretty much be my first 'real' concert, and I am more than ready to be happy, even if it's only for a short period of time.
