"Did I really do it && What now"

I woke up to a loud annoying voice saying “Pick up, pick up, it’s your mother. Hurry up and pick up, pick up, it’s your mother”.

I groaned remembering that I must be at Nay’s house like we all agreed.

“Hello, mom?” I sat up.

“Hey honey, how was the party?” she replied cheerfully and a little too loudly, so I winced. Ugh, great I have a slight hangover. A pretty little headache was ringing in my mind.

“ehh, it was alright, same old same old, I’m just overly tired” I replied looking at a nearby clock reading 7:38am. Oh my goshh! Why is she waking me up this early. It’s a freakin Sunday.

Sunday. Oh, church. I’m too tired please.

“Well I’m just calling to tell you that you don’t have to go to church today, but you will next Sunday, missy!” mom said in a faux parental sternness.

I sighed in relief “Thanks mom, have a good service.” I stated hoping that was the end of the conversation.

“Yes, yes, but I also wanted to tell you” she paused “Well, actually we’re going to have a family discussion when you come home, which should be no later than 5pm.”

“What, am I in trouble” I couldn’t think of anything I did wrong. Good in school, yes. My room clean, yes. My bathroom clean, yes. Although it would be nice if they hired help so I wouldn’t have to do my cleaning, but of course they’re too into teaching me “responsibility”.

What did I do. Hopefully she doesn’t know about the drinking

“No sweetheart” she chuckled “we just have something we need to talk to you about.” she replied distractedly.

“Okay, I guess”

“Well I’ve got to finish getting ready, so see you soon, Love you”

“Love you too mom”.

I flopped back down in the covers next to my friends, vaguely remembering we set up a huge patio on the floor. Last night was a little fuzzy. I knew I drank a little too much. I remember that and the dancing. Oh ew, dancing with Jordan. Jordan, hm, did I thro--

“Girls, girls, girls!” said Mrs Gonzales loudly trying to wake everyone up.

I cringed, this headache was not okay. I massaged my temples.

“Mom, yes” replied Nay sleepily

“I just wanted to check on yall before I left for Church, seeing as how, you all didn’t even have the decency to wake me up to tell me yall made it back alright.” she replied.

“Oh I’m sorry Mom, we were all so tired and just crashed” Nay said as we all chorused our apologies.

“It’s fine, just next time call or come knock on the door to let me know, hope you all had fun though?”

“Yeah, we did” Nay slumped back down “Just overly tired “

“Ok ok, I’ll leave yall to rest, but know, you wont be missing church next Sunday” she said as she left

I’m in my room and there’s pink roses everywhere. So many just laying all over my bed, my floor and even plastered on my walls as if magic held them up. I loved pink roses, but unlike girls on tv, I’ve never really thought the smell of flowers were all that great, but they surely were beautiful.
