Chapter 3

After a good 20 minutes, she came to a halt near a big tree with many plants around it. She figured that the plants were tall enough to hide her and so she sat down behind them, crossing her legs. That's when the tears poured out.

“I'm never going to see mami again.” She cried to herself, rubbing her eyes with her fists. She was trying to cry quietly, but that just made her cry even harder. Hook was probably on his way to find her by now.

As if on cue, Luna felt some warm hands come from behind her and cover her mouth before she could scream. No! He found me already! I didn't think he'd find me this quickly. Her vision became blurry because of all the tears that were coming out of her eyes.

“Shh. It's me.” Now that was not the voice that she expected to hear. Goosebumps traveled down her arm as he kept talking, “Don't scream, okay? I won't hurt you.” He slowly let his hands fall as he spun her around to face him. He was even more beautiful than she had imagined. He had messy light brown hair, green eyes that could leave you breathless for days, and a smile that could light up a whole town. He was perfect.

“You can't stay here, you need to come with me so that you'll be safe from Hook.” His eyes flicked down to Luna's exposed legs, but quickly flicked back up. “I have plenty of clothes that you can have too.” She blushed feeling self-conscious.

“O-okay.” Luna stuttered. Peter extended his hand towards her and she accepted the offer, placing her hand in his. He helped her up and he kept his hand tight around hers as he led her towards his place.

Neither of them said much as they walked. Luna would sigh every so often and then Peter would turn his head towards her, staring at her blue eyes. Then, Luna would look over at Peter, who would quickly turn his head away. They kept that up until Luna finally decided to speak.

“How did you know they had captured me?” She asked, playing with her sleeve.

“They always capture girls from different places.” He stated simply as if it were a normal thing. Then, the realization struck her.

“So, I'm not the only girl you've saved then.” She said, more to herself than to him.

“No.” He shuffled his feet, “Most of the girls usually get killed as soon as I appear to save them, though. There's only been 2 girls that I have successfully saved and brought back to their homes.”

“What did they give you? In return, I mean.” The question spilled out of her mouth without actually meaning to. He didn't seem to mind.

“One of them didn't give me anything. She actually hated me.” He chuckled, “But, the other girl...” He was quiet for a moment.

“Go on...” She urged.

“The other girl kissed me. A lot.” She could feel him tense up at the subject. Luna felt a pang of jealousy stir in her stomach at the thought of him kissing another girl. But, she had no right to feel that way. She had only just met him.

“I've never been kissed.” She murmured. Peter's grip on her hand got tighter, but he didn't say anything.

After a couple more minutes, they came to a stop. Luna looked around, taking in her surroundings. There wasn't really much to see. There were lots of tall trees everywhere you looked and all sorts of plants sprouting up from the ground. Luna watched as Peter made his way towards one of the trees, which did look slightly different from the others being that there was a branch sticking out way too low. Peter looked around to make sure no one was watching and then he pulled on the stick as if it were a door knob. Luna slowly walked over to Peter and saw that it was a secret door knob to enter in to their living space.
