"Sir! Sir! Please wake up we need to talk!" a voice called out, my eyes snapped open taking in the main office and a large man in nice clothing.
"Ah! You're awake sorry to make you move in your hazy state but if you'll follow me I can inform you a bit more of the school," I nodded my head and rose from my (very comfortable) chair. The man began walking his hands clasped behind his back as he took long strides. His black hair went down to his shoulders, he looked to be about thirty.
"Now I'm positive you are very confused about this whole ordeal Mr. um, please excuse me but I didn't catch your name."
"Oh, I'm Josh, Josh Reyes."
"Ah! Well Mr.Reyes welcome to my school I'm Mr.Hilde also known as 'headmaster' around here. Now if you'll enter my office and have a seat?" he said as he opened a door and gestures for me to enter. I stepped inside and looked around, memorabilia and pictures were placed on a shelf on the right wall. Books and tomes were on the shelf on the left wall, behind the tidy desk was a large window over-looking the school-grounds. Sitting down I looked to see Mr.Hilde's dark blue eyes staring back at me.
"Now from I've gathered you are a user of the light element. Not too many people are known to be born with those powers."
"Yes, Becca informed me that they were rare to see?"
"Absolutely! I've only seen one other person that wielded the light she is a part if the staff here, she works as a nurse and is an excellent healer."
"My powers can heal people?"
"Well in a technical term yes they speed up the regeneration abilities all Witches and Warlocks have. Like a magical over-load in simpler terms?"
"If you don't mind my asking where am I exactly?"
"Right now you are at Mr.Hilde's School For Witches and Warlocks. It was built on a very old civilization made by the magical beings?"
"Well what happened to it? The civilization?"
"Fear, my dear boy. The humans that had known of our existence were afraid of the magical properties we held. With the aid of betrayers they forged weapons that cancelled out our regenerative abilities and stormed the civilization. They killed a lot of our people and burned the city to the ground. They are known as witch and from what Becca's told me you encountered a few when you tried to get here?"
"Yeah, Becca is a vicious fighter she trick down at least eight if them! The final two hurt her though. How is she by the way?"
"Like I said the nurse is an amazing healer."
"Ok. Good. Um... How did I get my powers in the first place?"
"Well when the city was destroyed only a few were able to flee and escape successfully. The magic most likely runs in the family blood, I would like to meet your parents and offer them a safe haven here in the community?"
"That won't be necessary, my parents aren't exactly here."
"Oh, I see. I'm sorry for your loss. Well then the choice is yours would you like to join the school?"
"The witch hunters. That Becca and I encountered before are they hunting me?"
"I will not lie, but we are at war with the witch hunters. As we speak they are either tracking you or some other poor child across the globe," he said sadly.
"Then I'll enroll here at the school!"
"That settles that! I'll file for the...ahem adoption papers. I will ask the nurse who you'll be training with if they will be your legal guardian. Along with your training in the light element you will take normal classes like any other regular teenager."
