A/N: Be prepared because not everything I write is true fact so use your imagination!

The run away train starts at the North of France and runs all the way down to the South of France, everyone knew that.

I took my ticket from the machine and sinked onto the nearest bench, letting out a deep sigh. I glanced around and there was only two other people waiting for the train, not suprising.

It was precisely three in the morning on the tenth of April, 2024 and I was waiting for the train to arrive in three minutes, 3:03. I was absolutely exhausted and couldn't wait to get onto the train to sleep. Getting to this point was harder then I thought, a difficult challenge but I need to stay on task in order to achieve my goal. To do the unthinkable.

The three minutes were the quickest I had ever sat through and when the train pulled up to a stop I reluctantly grabbed my ruck sack and stood up, following the other two onto the train. I walked through five cabins with the train moving which were littered with people, and I noticed two seats left. I hesitated, each seat in these cabins gave you much more room and an air con but I shook my head and carried on because I wasn't in the mood to be around people. Those cabins used to be only for people who paid, but since another uprising was brought up about how unfair it was, the government gave up and dropped the rule of payment. It's first come first serve now.

The next cabin was normal economy, little seats but it was good enough for me. There were two people sitting up at the front but no one else around so I gladly took a double seat near the back and immediately got comfy.

Just as I sat down a petite lady walked through in her uniform and stopped by me, "Miss can I see your ticket please?" her voice squeaked nervously not making eye contact and I passed her my ticket without a word. She glanced at it for one second, not even checking any of the details but I guess that's what they did these days. No one cared.

"Thank you" she said and shoved my ticket into my palm making sure she didn't touch me before shuffling away very quickly to the people at the front of my cabin. No one trusted anyone anymore. I turned to the window to see darkness. I'd forgotten they'd changed all the windows to blacked out so no one could see in and no one could see out. It was an effect of the war in 2018, everywhere was a ruined economy.

I dropped my rucksack to the floor and leaned back into my chair, all I needed now was to sleep through this long journey because as soon as I arrive in my destination, I have no time to waste.

This is it, I thought as I closed my eyes, this is the beginning.
