"Stay here" Ash told me, so I did.

And I had been waiting for twenty minutes, there was no way we were going to get back on that train and what the bloody hell was Ash doing! I hardly even know this guy. I was sitting in the centre of Paris at a gas station, no one had come up to me of course. Ash trekked off into the distance trying to find 'a miracle' is how he described it.

The good thing was that Ash left me with the puppy. Someone to keep me company. I stared down at the little puppy by my side, I had given him some food already and water so he was fine. What he had been doing for the past twenty minutes was digging. Yes, the soil on the grass beneath us and even trying to dig up concrete. He ran up to me with his tongue sticking out of his mouth, you could even say he was smiling with dirt all around his mouth.

"You know what?" I say to the dog, lifting him up and brushing off the soil. "I'm gonna name you digger" I announce and set the digger down again. Suddenly Digger started yapping away at a figure and sure enough it was Ash coming towards us, with a lorry trailing behind. I hurried to stand up and pick up Digger when they arrived and the lorry stopped.

"I found a solution to our problem" Ash said with a big grin.

I was too amazed to question it and the man got out of the front and walked towards us.

"You didn't say you were gonna have a dog" The man said with a strong Texas accent. What was he doing here in France?

"Oh Digger is no problem, I promise" I pipe in

"You named him Digger?" Ash sends me a crazy look

"Yes" I say and turn back to the man.

"Alright if you say so" He opens the back and its an empty boot of a lorry with hay on the floor. Pretty normal.

Ash climbs in, then takes Digger from me and I climb in after. We both sit down, trying to get comfortable on the hay.

"Alright" The man says, "no stopping until we're there, it will only take about an hour and we've got to go now if you want to beat the train because the train stops off somewhere for another break" the man draws a breath.  "ANY nonsense and that's it you're out" He sees us nod and pulls the boot slamming it shut and getting back into the front. Soon we were moving.

"Impressed?" Ash smirks and me and I shrug.

"How did you get him to agree?"

"I'm a charming man, you know" He winks and I roll my eyes. "Lucky for us he's going to the same place" He glances at his watch, "Almost six. We'll be there by seven. The train leaves Tours at ten past seven. I think we'll make it"

I nod slowly, letting out a yawn. The dog curls up next to me and lets out a huff.

"So" Ash smiles again. "Digger,
