Kayla:

I hurried to get home and shower up. I don't know why I was so eager. Maybe because the more I knew I had his trust, the happier I felt about deceiving him. My makeup was quick and easy. I curled my hair and put on a light pair of skinny jeans, a blue and green plaid button up shirt, and slipped on my black ballet flats. I slid a few bracelets onto my wrist and looked in the mirror. Satisfied with how I look, I made my way back to Chad's house.

When I knocked on Chad's door, he seemed surprised to see me. "I told you I was coming back." He smiled. "I didn't believe you. You're too good to be true." I liked his honesty. "Thanks." I ran my hair threw my curls. "You clean up nice." I winked. "I do have to look presentable you know?" He was wearing tan trousers, a white shirt and a red polo over top. He guided me to the couch, "the lads will be here in a couple hours. What do you wanna do?" I sat next to him; throwing my legs onto his lap.

"We can play video games if you want?"  I suggested. "Yeah!" He smiled turning his attention to the controllers that were on the floor on the other side of the room, "I don't want to get up." His finger brushed my hair behind my ear. "Are you still scared?" I let out a small laugh, "no, but thanks for protecting Chad." I reached for his and started to play with his fingers. "It was pleasure." He was slow, concentrating on my motives for messing with his fingers.

We stayed like that for a few minutes simply playing with each other's fingers. The silence was awkward, but somewhat sweet. Within a week's time, I had already gained a larger amount if his trust. "The boys and I plan to go camping next weekend. Would you wanna go with me?" He asked. I pushed myself onto his lap, resting my head on his collar bone. "Yeah, I'll go." "It's sort of a 'couple thing.' All of the boys are bringing their girlfriends, but we can just go as friends. We don't have to sleep in the same tent, either. I can bring two-." He was rambling again.

I pushed my face into his chest laughing. "One tent is fine, Chad." His heart rate started to drop down to normal. As we waited for the boys, we talked about our favorite bands, foods, memories, ect, ect. Then his doorbell rang. He slowly picked me up and put me back on my feet. "Ooo, aren't you strong." It was cheesy but since I had no fucks to give I squeezed on him feeling his muscular arms.

He blushed and went to answer the door. The boys came in with big bowls of food. "He guys, this is Kayla." Chad introduced. Josh smiled, "From the club!" I nodded, "Oh, by the way, thanks for carrying me out." "Are you still scared?" Michael questioned. "No." I lowered my eyes, forcing a blush. "Chad protected me."

Chad:

The boys acted surprised when meeting Kayla. But in actuality, she was all I talked about to them. We sat at my dining table, ready to feast. Kayla took a seat next to me, scooting her chair closer to mine. As dinner went on, I found myself beginning to like her, more and more. She was funny, well-educated, polite, and kind of corky. Kayla was definitely not like other girls. She was sophisticated and confident. Whatever she wanted, she went in and got it. A part of me kind of wish she would go after me.

I mean, she did. She held my hand, flirted and we even slept in the same bed together. Even though that was one time, it felt normal. It felt right. I wanted to confirm our relationship with a kiss. I was sucked back into reality. "Yeah, Kayla, you should come camping with us." Josh smiled. She rested her fork on the plate and her hand went under the table; she squeezed my leg. "Chad invited me earlier, sounds fun. I've never been camping." She searched for my hand, after finding it she squeezed it too. I returned with another squeeze. Then she let go and continued to eat.
