Jesse sighed and placed his hands on the armrest and stood up. He grabbed her grabbed her schedule without even saying a word or even looking up at her, and walked out of the office.
He's gorgeous, not even gorgeous- beyond gorgeous.
He was about 6'3; with pitch black raven hair that slightly covered his dreamy chocolate brown eyes that perfectly matched his creamy tan skin. He wore black ripped skinny jeans with a green shirt that had a golden tri-force on it that perfectly stuck to his chest, showing off all of his muscles. A black beanie rested on his head and had many band bracelets on his wrists.
Emily quickly scurried behind him. She clung her papers and pressed them against her chest. People bumped into her causing her to move side to like a pinball machine. Once she even lost the boy, causing a wave of fear to wash over her, but it soon went away as she was able to recognize her by his tall height and his clothing. She felt like a small animal stuck in a herd of buffalo or a fish caught in a fish net with hundreds of other fish that would soon meet their doom.
Jesse finally came to a halt in front of an old, practically broken down locker. It had graffiti written all over it and random scratches that looked liked a wild dog came and attacked it.
"Okay, here is your locker. They matched all of our periods together so you just have to follow me, except for last period. That's your elective." He mumbled, emotionless. He looked completely bored out of his mind, as if showing someone to his or her locker was such a pain in his butt, the worst thing he could do besides having to work in the sewer.
Emily nodded her head and began to fumble with the old rusty lock that looked liked with any little tug, it would come flying off.
So much for keeping my stuff safe.
The boy sighed loudly, obviously annoyed by just her presence, and rolled his eyes as he pushed her out of the way with his shoulder. With one swift motion he unlocked the lock and swung the door open, causing a creaking sound to come from the rusty hinges. She frowned, that was totally unnecessary. She could have easily done it herself. She placed her books in the locker feeling instant relief as a weight was lifted off her shoulders, literally.
"Hey Jesse!" an older, stronger jock called out from behind them. Jesse turned around and grinned as he greeted the male and both raised their hands up to high five and manly hugged.
"Hey dude, what's up?"
The two boys started conversing while Emily just stood behind them awkwardly and completely lost, feeling hidden like a ghost.
Finally, the bell rang for first period and the herd of wild beats, also known as teenagers, began migrating to their classes. Jesse began to walk to their next class, completely ignoring Emily's presence. Something was wrong with this boy, it's as if he hated to just be living, maybe he wasn't a morning person.
They arrived to the small classroom that was way on the other end of school. Kids were already in their seats, goofing off, talking, and throwing random pieces of paper around the room. Emily was debating if she should sit in the front of the class of the class with all the other smart and nerdy people, or hide away in the back like she usually did in her other schools. Hiding in the back was for sure winning sitting in the front, but before she made her finally decision the teacher decided to start the class.
"Hello Everyone! Take your seats." The teacher said as she sat down behind her wooden desk. Her eyes landed on the girl standing in front of the class looking completely lost. "Oh? It seems as if we have a new student. Why don't you introduce yourself to the class pumpkin?" she said cheerfully as she looked at her with a big warm smile.
Emily froze in place and just stared at the class with her big blue eyes. The class was shooting daggers into her soul with their piercing, judgmental eyes. But all Emily could do was bat her eyelashes like a deer stuck staring at a cars headlight until, BAM!
The teacher noticed Emily's standstill and put her out of her misery. "Oh that's okay, you don't have to do it, my names Mrs.Ferrin. You can go take a seat next to Jesse in the corner back there." She nodded her head towards the seat in the corner that was on the left of Jesse. She inwardly groaned and walked to the seat while she nodded.
She sat down with a sigh as Mrs.Ferrin began her lesson. She assigned them a project, or more so a book report that had to be done on a poster board. Emily was sure to get an A, she was a pro at anything book related. But then again she couldn't present the book so what was the point?
"But here's the catch," Mrs.Ferrin said as she walked in front of her desk and sat on top of it "You'll be working in partners, with the person next to you."
Instantly, the whole class groaned. Emily hastily looked to her right to see her new partner.
Oh god...
The one and only Jesse, was going to be her partner. What a luck Emily was having. The boy sighed and tiredly looked over at her. "Are you smart?" he asked bluntly. This was going to be a challenge for sure. How in the world was she supposed to communicate with him? She dumbly opened up her mouth as if she was going to say something but quickly shut it. She shrugged her shoulders and moved her hand motioning that she was kindsmart. Which was a total lie.
"Good. Because you're going to be doing this project, not me. I have far too much important things to do." He stated as a matter of fact. Emily say there in shocked she tried to process everything he just said in her head and as her eyes widened.
He couldn't be serious. God, if he wasn't so devishly handsome I'd smack that stupid look off his face. How could he be so...so...stupid to let the new student do all the work for him?! Well then, if that's how he's going to be, then I'll simply just not write his name on it or give him any credit. He wanted to play dirty, well look out Jesse cause Karma's going to bite you in the-
Emily's thoughts were interrupted as the bell for the end of first period rang.
