That night's sky was darker than ever. Not a single star around, but the moon was still shining and it's light would reflect down on the forest's trees.

Where the three horses made their way towards the palace, as if their riders were racing time.

From the rumors they heard, the situation seemed to be worse than what they thought.

"Stop"

All of them pulled back once Mirai spoke.

He could hear someone approaching them but could not tell how many people.

"Someone is coming, get ready"

He then added while jumping off of his horse.

Evan followed him down, while walking both their horses back and tying their reins into the trees.

Alex helped Rose get down before they walked their horses back as well.

"They're here"

Evan said, watching the other four step forwards into the dim light.

The red haired girl had a dagger in hand, she leaned down and used it to draw a straight line on the ground.

"I will kill whoever crosses this line"

Aylin then said.

The second prince struggled to walk up those stairs but he tried to remain quiet about it and ignore his pain since it was not the right time for him to deal with it.

While heading upstairs he ran into a familiar face.

"Prince Louis, are you alright?"

Ivor asked as he approached him.

"Am alright, did you do it?"

Louis asked.

Ivor nodded his head giving a positive answer.

It was enough for Louis to feel a little bit at ease.

Standing in front of the man he respects a lot, knowing that he was able to overcome his reasons to do what was right for Lydia and its people was never an easy choice.

"You know Elmer would be lucky to have you as his advisor"

Louis smiled saying.

"I was about to say the same thing"

Ivor smiled back replying.

"Prince Elmer would be the luckiest if you stood beside him as if advisor"

He then added.

Louis did not even have the time to appreciate the compliment as he immediately asked,

"What about you?"

He did not know why he felt a little scared all of a sudden. Maybe because he knew from experience that Ivor had a fake smile on.

"I think I will retire after this"

Ivor replied.

Louis sighed in relief while smiling back,

"Abandoning your student?"

The second prince said teasing.

"I believe you no longer need me, my prince"

The king's advisor replied while bowing down his head down.

"You will always be needed around here but I can't stop you if you made up your mind"

Louis said.

Ivor was about to go on his way down when the prince suddenly bowed his head to him.

"Thank you"
