Chapter 7

Outside the palace, the eight were outside with General Gong looking at it back in control of the Magister

Lilac: "Never thought I'd see this place again. It's in pretty good shape"

Lucien: "I must say, yeah"

Neera Li: "Good work, General. It's...good to be home"

Ryan: "Yeah, good job Gong. Glad to be back"

General Gong: "Yeah, all things considered? This is the tidiest invasion ever. Wish all of our invasions were this neat"

(Y/N) and Milla then got everyone's attention

(Y/N): "Me and Milla have some good news, everyone! Serpentine's agreed to take us with him!"

They then saw Serpentine as looked at him

General Serpentine: "Yes! Out of the goodness of my reptilian heart, I have decided that all nine of us will stop the menace that is Merga!"

Lucien: "Thanks, Serpentine. And great work, you two! How did you manage to convince him?"

(Y/N) then put a arm around Milla

(Y/N): "Oh, Milla just made a promise. No biggie, leader"

General Serpentine: "I hope you're all exactly as heavy as you look, otherwise this will be a short trip"

Ryan then had a deadpan face

Ryan: "Geez, that's rude. But aside that, are we ready to leave?"

General Serpentine: "Weren't you listening to me before?! I still need Syntax for the vector calculations!"

Everyone then looked at Neera

Neera Li: "Then our course is clear: Track down Spade, beat him to within an inch of his life,  and take Syntax back from his broken fingers"

Lilac, Carol, and Milla smiled but the boys were sweatdropping

Lucien: "Minus the broken fingers part, maybe we can convince him too? No, just us?"

General Gong: "Sounds like a plan. We'll hold the fort down!"

He then got everyone's attention

General Gong: "Before you go, though: Magister, Black Ryan, and Professor Libido want to see you guys. Something urgent, they say"

Lucien: "Alrighty then, meet you girls after talking to the Magister, Black Jaron, and the professor"

They four then split into two groups. The boys got to Black Ryan and Professor Libido while the girls went to the Magister

Luke: "Yo, Black Ryan, Uncle Derek. What's up mates?"

Lucien: "Hey you two"

(Y/N): "You two and the Magister summoned us?"

Black Ryan: "Thanks for coming guys. We wish to share the results of the Magister's research regarding Merga and the water dragon people"

Professor Libido: "At first, what he found merely reaffirmed everything we already knew...That the water dragons turned violent. That Merga was their greatest warrior. That many Shang Tusians died defending themselves from the Parusan scourge"

Black Ryan: "Then he realized that the books we had read were all written down by earth dragons and their descendants. We scoured the library for any book that could possibly recount history from a water dragon's perspective"
