Aiden stepped forward and screamed, an instinctive battle cry unheard in this world since the demons had destroyed his clan and made him and the few unfortunate survivors their blades. Tools of their will.Menno was silent, his face betraying no trace of effort as he crossed his blade with Aiden's and blocked it. Menno himself moved faster than before, moving so fast that the human eye could not follow him, but not Aiden, who was like him, parrying every blow with grace, every one except one. Menno's blade grazed Aiden's shoulder, then bit into the flesh. Aiden staggered, and a second blow caught him in the side, splintering his armor, but it wasn't enough, because Aiden kept fighting as befits a warrior of his kind, attacking Menno with cool method, forcing him onto the defensive, but then Himmel entered the fight.

— Have you forgotten that I'm here too? — He asked, looking at his companion, gripping the hilt of his blade with both hands.

Menno actually forgot about him for a moment, for the first time in a looooong time he didn't fight with a companion at his side. His thoughts were interrupted by Himmel's attack, which surprised Aiden. Himmel himself was exceptionally fast, so much so that he wasn't much behind some of the warriors of the Shadowmark clan, but Aiden was an elite like Menno, so he could easily kill Himmel himself, but then Menno joined the attack, trying to sense his companion's attacks, so that his attack would be followed by his own, and so again and again pushing Aiden to the defense, until finally several blows wounded him in the leg and stomach, and Menno's last blow hit him in the wrist hard enough that he had to fight with one hand, and that's when the blow that pierced his stomach came, the blow that Himmel dealt.

—You won, but just like Markus I will return and next time I will not be killed so easily, I will use all my power to kill you all then. — Aiden threw choking on blood and fell to the ground.

—Fauna quickly help him! —Himmel shouted.

Fauna without getting into a discussion, quickly found herself in the arena and when she approached Aiden he was already completely harmless, the weak spark of life smoldering in him was soon to go out.She placed her hands on his face and used a stronger version of the spell she used on Christian and Kristoff, but then something happened that surprised even her, she saw fragments of his past, his mark would glow after a moment and go out.Fauna, panting, ran up to Himmel and snatched his sword from him, then dealt Aiden a blow of mercy.

— May you find peace on the other side. — She whispered.

Aiden's body then shuddered and fell apart into pieces that glowed blue, completely different from the demons, monsters or even Markus.

— What happened? — Himmel asked, approaching the motionless Fauna, who seemed absent.

— I'm not sure, but if I had to guess, she broke the mark. — Menno replied, which seemed impossible to him, and Fauna herself looked surprised.

— I freed him. — She choked out. — I turned off the mark for a moment and freed him from captivity, his spirit is beyond the reach of these demons.

Consternation reigned in the stands, people began to whisper to each other, not really understanding what they had just witnessed. That's when Menno decided it was time to reveal their cards and reveal who they were.
