They stayed in the car.
"What the hell was that?"
"What was what?"
"You were obviously flirting with that cashier chick at the coffee shop."
"What do you mean? I mean, no. I wasn't."
"Yes, you were Reagan. Dude, you winked at her and you zoned out like once, in her eyes. If I didn't know any better I think you felt something towards her."
"Um, no. That's crazy. You know I'm with Daniel. And I'm pretty sure I'm crazy about him."
"Are you sure? Because if you wanted to try something out with that cashier chick-"
"Can you stop calling her 'That Cashier Chick'? She has a name, you know? It's Cara."
"Well I'm sorry, but I wouldn't of cared to check. I don't swing that way."
"What the actual fuck, Sarah? Why should that even matter? Just because she might be different and is actually comfortable with herself, doesn't mean you have to be a bitch about it. So what if she likes girls? Would it hurt you to just look at the name tag and say 'Thanks'?"
Sarah looked hurt, and Reagan was quick to apologize. "Look, I'm sorry for saying those things. I just, I don't know. I guess it kind of pisses me off when you talk about people's differences."
"Yeah," she looked up at Reagan, "but you have a point. I shouldn't be talking shit about someone just because they're different. And I'm sorry for being an asshole about this. Just know, that if you DO want to give that cash-I mean Cara, a chance. Go for it."
"But what about Daniel?"
"What about Daniel? He's a dick and isn't worth your time. Might as well dump him and be happy trying something else, than being miserable in a relationship that you don't even want to be in."
"But I do want to be with Dani-"
"Reagan are you happy?"
"Huh?"
"Does Daniel make you happy?" Reagan began nodding her head yes. "Does he make you feel as if butterflies are in your stomach when you see, hell, even think of him?" That's where Reagan started shaking her head no. "Well then, you can't be with someone if you don't feel that way. Sorry honey, but if you were meant for each other you would fall for him all over again when you saw or thought of him."
Reagan was beginning to understand what she meant by that. So she knew what she was meant to do. "Okay."
Sarah smiled, "Womb to tomb?"
God, we haven't done this since we saw West Side Story ,7 years ago. But Reagan just laughed and held out her hand, "Birth to earth."
Sarah shook her hand, "Awesome, now let's go shopping."
Hey, so yeah this is a lot of dialogue, but ya know this is a very serious discussion that will change her life drastically. Hope you guys liked it. :)
