clara's pov:
As I was having a Grey's Anatomy marathon on Netflix in my flat an obnoxious ringing interrupted my binge watching of my current favorite show. I groan to receive my phone to stop its ringing but my groan is replaced with a huge grin once I glance at the caller I.D.
"Harry!" I exclaim as soon as I accept the call. I'm very excited to finally speak to my best friend considering the fact that us speaking is very rare.
"Clara." Harry depressingly said into the phone making my heart speed up a little due to worry. The last time I ever heard Harry like this was when his dad had left him and his family. So hearing Harry's voice so distant and soft, when it was usually bubbly and cheerful like, I was quite freighted.
"What's wrong? Are you alright?" I frantically questioned.
"Uh.. I just.. ugh. I just miss you that's all." Well I know he misses me I'm amazing, but I know that's not all that's wrong.
"I miss you too. I haven't spoken to you in forever." I state the obvious.
"Do you think you could fly out to see me? I'll even pay." I'm a little shocked at what he asks but I manage to answer.
"What are you on about, Styles?"
"I just really really need a friend right now."
Oh god. I hope him and the boys haven't had a falling out. I mean they are best friends after working with each other for about 3 years now.
"What about the boys? You and the boys are okay, right?"
"Yeah, yeah. We're great. But I just... I need you. I didn't want to do this with you in uni and everything but I've been holding this in for like 2 and a half years and-"
"Oh. Okay. Well I guess.." I cut off Harry's rambling.
"I know, I'm so- Wait. Did you say yes?" Harry says with a little hope in his voice. I chuckle a little thinking about how Harry actually thinks I would have said no. I would do anything for that curly haired boy.
"Yes, Harry. I did as a matter of fact."
"Oh my gosh. Okay. I'll text you the ticket information." I couldn't even reply to his frantic words because the line went dead before I could say anything.
****
Ding.
I went to retrieve my phone on this fine afternoon. Note the sarcasm. My luggage is way too heavy and I couldn't find my phone charger! I was also running late to the airport and if I missed this flight Harry would be so disappointed.
I really hope you're leaving right about now.
I groaned as I read the text from Harry and rushed my fingers across my phones keyboard.
Maybe I would be if I didn't have to respond to a curly haired boys text messages!
I then stuffed my phone into my back pocket of my blue jeans and threw myself to the floor.
"Ow." I muttered to myself but proceeded to look for my charger under my bed. To my luck it was just laying there under my bed.
"Bloody hell." I grumbled as I snatched it from the carpet. How come when you're looking for something it's always in the last place you look?!
I have torn apart nearly my whole flat looking for this thing. I was almost thinking about just stealing Katie's charger. I ran out to the living room to be greeted by my roommate, Katie, sitting on the couch on her phone, waiting for me. She was going to drive me to the airport.
