Lon'qu x Reader [Fire Emblem Awakening]

Hey guys! This is a request from one of my best friends, hope you enjoy! So for this oneshot, you're the my unit in Fire Emblem. That means you're the badass tactician that saves the world and shit. So yey. Have fun reading. -K

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 

Lon'qu walked around on the campgrounds of the shepherds. The full moon stood high above the numerous tents of his companions and fellow warriors. He walked around the camp; only the clink of his sword against his gear and his footsteps could be heard in the dead of night. He couldn't sleep, all he could think about was the impending battle ahead of him; the battle that would end it all: Grima. Only one thought went through his mind, the thought of losing you. When he had joined the shepherds oh so many years ago, he never thought that he would meet the love of his life you: (F/N)(L/N). Meeting you changed his life, even if he didn't sound like it.

After walking around aimlessly he came up to a halt. In front of him stood the place that he unconsciously wanted to go to: your tent. He pushed the folds of the front away and quietly entered the tent. The tent was pretty roomy with you bed, desk, and numerous stacks of papers and books scattered throughout the area. After all you were the king's tactician. Lon'qu looked around the room, easily finding you with your head resting on your desk, completely passed out. The simplest sight of you instantly made him blush, and blush is what he did. He never realized up until now how cute you were sleeping; your (H/L)(H/C) shifting as you moved a little in your state. The simple and small candle that you had been using for hours beautifully illuminated your sleeping face. He scooted a bit closer and brushed a lock of your hair out of your face. "(Y/N)... you shouldn't push yourself so hard..." he mumbled, "I understand that you worry about the other shepherds, but you need to worry about yourself too." He sighed, "I know it sounds weird coming from me, but I don't know what I would do if I lost you. When this war ends, I want to spend the rest of my life with you (Y/N)... I love you." As gently as possible, her took you from your place at the desk and carried your to your bed. He placed you on your bed and kneeled next to you, playing with your hair. "I love you with all my heart, I just need to find the right time to ask." In his hand rested a small box, which the contents could only be imagined. He got up and quickly blew out the candle then came back to your side. Resting a light kiss on your forehead, he began mumbling again, "Goodnight my love." He got up, only to leave you in your sleeping state behind.

Little did he know that you had heard the entire one-sided conversation.

~Extras! Hehe~

Just as you got up to leave he felt a tug on his jacket. "Did you really mean that?" a small voice came from behind him, he turned around to see a half asleep you holding onto his clothes.

Realizing that you were awake the entire time, he began to blush and stutter madly. "I-I h-have no idea what you're t-talking about."

You giggled the most tired giggle possible by human means, "Lon'qu.. Please stay with me..."

He blushed even more furiously and averted his eyes "T-that's ridiculous."

You pouted, "Plzzzzz?"

He saw your freaking adorable pout out of the corner of his eyes and succumbed to your cuteness. "F-Fine"

You scooted over, letting him slip into the bed with you. His warmth made you feel like you had no care in the world, even with all the pressures in life. You felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist; you looked up to see Lon'qu's (LOL DAT PUNCTUATION DOU) pink face in front of yours. Even in the darkness you could tell. "See? Someone does care."

"S-Shut up, you need sleep."

You smiled and buried your face into his toned chest, taking in his warmth. This time you really fell asleep, he sighed again "What did I get myself into..."
