Chapter 4 - Getting to Know Each Other

"I'm done," Jameson entered again as he stretched his arms.

I paused the anime I'm watching and complimented him, "You're such a diligent boy. Your mother must be proud of you."

He paused his movements too as if he is part of the video I'm watching. His face is looking at me blankly ('_')?

After three seconds staring each other, probably we both having our own talk in our minds, he finally explained.

"My family is in Dubai. I'm the only one who is staying here but I'm living with my cousin," he finally mentioned.

"Wow, that's why you're independent," I sat and started feeding Mimi and Nana.

"I also lived and grow up in Dubai. I started living there when I was 13 years old," he mentioned and helped me feed Mimi and Nana. 

"Ehhh~ Why did you come back here?" 

"Because I want to have a profession or degree. I've already graduated and started working but I realized that having a profession will help a lot. That's why I go back here to get a profession," he answered and stood up after we finish feeding Mimi and Nana.

"Excuse me for a second," I said and opened a window in between us. He won't see what I'm browsing since he will only see is the black behind of window.

"Ohhhh... You changed your profile picture?" I surprised. I was actually wanna re-opened her picture albums of Manga and talked about it. 

"Yep. It's Love and peace," he smiled. 

Hmmm...? Did he changed his picture because I thought that the girl with him was his girlfriend? (O_O)

Anyway, I laughed and said, "How come it's called Love and Peace if he has a gun with him."

"It's true! It's his favorite motto. Love and Peace. Try watching it at least one episode," he said in a bit childish way which made me giggled a little. That was kinda cute (^////^)

"I'll see. I still had a long line up list if anime to watch," I reasoned out because I actually don't like the graphics xp

"By the way, did you already study in Statics?" he suddenly asked.

I closed the window I'm looking at and my eyes widened as I looked at him, "Why? Do we have a quiz?"

"No, but we better study in advance. You know. It's good if in oral, you can quickly answer his question once he asked the class," he incredibly said. WOW! SUCH A GUY EXIST?! (ODO)

I laughed from embarrassment. I'm a girl yet I'm lazy. "You're so industrious."

"See that, Erinna. You should be like him," Mimi nagged at me. I knew it.

Then I suddenly remembered something that i could use to changed the topic, "By the way, I transferred in another sit because I can't hear well. I wore a hearing aid last year because I can't totally hear that's more than 2 feet away from me. But I broke my hearing aid and for some reason I can hear clearly little by little. The doctor said that maybe the stress is affecting  my ears."

He was petting Mimi and looked at me surprisingly, "How much is the hearing aid?"

"Thirty Thousand," I simply answered.

His mouth gaped at me, "You're rich!"

"We're not. It's just because I was diagnosed first that I'm about to be deaf," I argue. We are not rich, we're just in average. Not poor and not rich.

"What a waste. Stress really has different effects in our health," he said.

"Yep," I just nodded.

"What's why I told her to think differently, look at the problems in different way so she won't be stressed," Mimi told Jameson as she looked at him. Wow, this goodies are becoming buddies.

"Stress? As far as I know, she's broken hearted becau- argh!" Nana snapped in and I quickly throw a virtual ball at her for her to shut up. 

I looked back at Jameson and in his expression he was shocked and frightened.

I laughed and said, "Don't worry, I won't do that to you."

"Brokenhearted?" he wondered which i sweat dropped at. This is all because of Nana! (-_-#)

"I and my second boyfriend broke up last 6 months ago. He broke up with me because I was avoiding him due to circumstances," I started telling a brief story of my past love story.

"I only had two girlfriends too. I and my second girlfriend broke up long time ago. It's like, I haven't had any girlfriend for 6 years," he looked up as he tries to remember the number of years he's been single. 

I gaped me. He's been single for 6 years?! 

I looked at him suspiciously. "Seriously? After that, you have been single?"

"I swear. It's just. I also rather be alone. I'm a loner person," he said.

That stunned me. Again, we're similar. Maybe that's why we vibe quickly. We have many similarities.

We further talked about our past exes, studies and anime. We also watched anime together. We started getting to know each other deeper. Is this okay? Ohhh~ what I'm worrying about. he is older. There's no way I'll fall for him. I don't think I'll get along with older people that's why I prefer younger ones. Most older people are closed minded. Just because they are more experienced, they always think that they are the right ones and they are the ones to be respected. I think every individual should be respected regardless of age, religion, etc. 

Anyway, for now, I don't have any closed guy. I think, it's okay if we can get closer and be best friend.....
